Please place deer crossing signs on North Range Road. A screenshot of suggested locations on either end of the median is attached. While walking my dog last night, I saw a car driving around the bend way too fast, hit a deer, and just drove off. The deer has a badly broken back leg, but unfortunately hobbled back into the woods by the IU cross country course before I could get to him/her. Especially with the construction going on with the new hospital, animals are being displaced and showing up around our apartment. Please place signs warning drivers of deer that may be crossing. I am willing to donate money for this if needed so contact me. Thank you.
I have a quick question- On 13th St., between Fairview and Jackson, we have gravel shoulders between the paved street and the sidewalks, that are getting pretty worn down/muddy. Is it the Street Dept. responsibility to keep those maintained with fresh gravel, or the homeowner's responsibility? I'd love to have them turned back into treeplots, but I feel like that's a whole different discussion... Any info would be appreciated! Thank you!
4317 east morningside drive fence in clear violation of land covenant: no fence in excess of 6 feet in height shall be permitted on any lot, and no fence in excess of 4 feet shall be permitted within 10 feet of any lot line. Please immediately notify property owner for correction. this has been reported already. building department or whoever gives ok on fences needs to tell owner to check land restrictions. please send owner letter. not sure what happened to last report
New mandatory stop at B line trail crossing on West Country Club drive. Bad, inefficient installation will cause traffic backups all the way to S. Walnut, already a problem. The warning lights should be installed facing the trail not the road – lots of cars, particularly at rush hour, every day, all hours, but very very few trail users. CC drive is a main cross-city route - so why stop all the cars every time when no trail users are there? Bad logic.
Traffic light at 17th and Woodlawn seems unreasonably timed. Attempting to go north or south on Woodlawn or make the left turn from Woodlawn to 17th has resulted in 2 minute or longer waits by drivers.
Can the city put some pressure on INDOT to open some lanes on 3rd and 2nd bridges? We have gridlock daily. Or maybe station cops to direct traffic? Or both? It's really out of hand and I rarely see anyone doing any work!
Traffic is horrible on W. Third and W. Second going west to east. We have to go thru parking lots to get anywhere. Or, go all the way to 46. Lanes are closed off and no one is working.
A traffic light is required to safely drop off and pick up children from Arlington Heights Elementary.
The subsiding utility cut at the intersection of S Eastside Drive and University is getting worse every day.
