I am in the process of planning our office closure in Bloomington and have a question related to the alley that is located to the west of our current building. What would I need to request for the alley to be partially closed for a day or two for a moving truck to be parked there while we move out furniture?
Handicap parking being used by vehicles that do not have parking permits. How about having an online way to report villagers since community office won't tow the vehicles.
Hello, I am checking to see if any pot hole and or improvements are scheduled for Weimer Rd connecting Tapp with 2nd St. This road is getting extremely rough and eroding away I believe somewhat due to the winter and the additional traffic that is traveling due to the construction work that is happening all around the area. Multiple times graffiti has been applied to this structure over the past year. Trash and debris has accumulated on this property site from trespassers, with a drive that is in decay. Please notify the property owner/(s) that he/she may want to not only clean the area but also drive post into the perimeter and block parking to prevent any unsightly mess trespassers leave behind.

We are located at 2909 E Buick Cadillac Blvd. - Dr. J. Blue Davis's dental office. The property adjoining ours appears to have been abandoned and we are noticing that the landscape is becoming overgrown with plants, grasses and weeds. Also, the fence is the back of the property is beginning to fall down. Is there anything that the City can do to keep this property from becoming an eyesore for the other businesses on our street.
Hello, I am re-developing the property @ 3000 South Walnut. The location is where the former Southern Winds Hotel and Roosters club were located. The property at the beginning a workout facility and a chiropractors office. AS you pull out from the property and are going to turn left (North) and cross traffic, there are two trees located to the north on the side of the road. When cars are coming South and I am turning to the North, it is difficult to see whats coming and that is where the speed limit changes from 30 to 40mph, which is the place many seems to start speeding up. We will have more traffic than ever entering and leaving the property right from the beginning and even more as the property continues to be redeveloped overtime after the initial building and business's are active. A stop light right around there of course would be superb for the property but probably could never happen due to the traffic that occur that comes over the hill when people are traveling South down South Walnut. With that in mind I was hoping the two large trees could be taken down so it is much safer at that point because of the visibility that would open up. One tree is directly in from of the property and the other is directly in front on an older apartment complex that has around 10 apartments in it, it looks like. Would this be possible? Or maybe we could plant a couple new tress which would be much smaller and take several years to grow out? Of course that problem would show up again several years from now but it would take care of it presently for sevevral years. I am just worried about such a great new area being redeveloped for the area and future to have potential traffic issues with people being able to see when pulling out of the property. "Sare Rd" street sign on the NE corner of the Sare&Rogers roundabout was found on the roadway (and traffic was unfortunately driving over it). I moved it to the grass on the NE corner (see picture attached). Hopefully, still usable and can be reinstalled on the empty sign post. Thanks for your kind assistance!
I live on a narrow road that is circular. One way in; one way out. There are 10 homes on our road and 2 of the homes have small children. I like to be able to take my dogs for a walk on our road as well. Because of our wooded area, the heavy brush and the turns in the road, it is VERY difficult for a driver to see very far ahead of them or supposedly to drive more than 15 miles an hour safely. Many visitors and delivery/service people don't seem to be able to be cautious despite the conditions. At my own expense would like to post a sign that is 24" X 18" on or near a large tree that faces the entrance to my neighborhood. It doesn't appear that any one person owns the property that the tree is on. I wonder if I can legally do this or do I have to get permission from the street department? There is not a sidewalk and as I said, there road is barely passable for 2 vehicles. My dogs and I have had to run to find a safe place to be before cars come flying towards us or from behind.
