Excessive Growth
1456 South College Mall Road

The sidewalk has become overgrown. This makes it difficult for pedestrians and cyclists to pass. This is particularly dangerous in this spot due to its proximity to a blind corner.

Re case # 164723 (Supposedly resoled)
Grass has been cut. Absolutely correct. But how about the E First sidewalk towards Rose? I do not see any improvement there. Low-hanging branches hitting me in the face and arms.
Also, another problem has arisen: corner of Eastside and E First: long vegetation is starting to impair the view to the left where cars may be coming out of nothing from E First.

Hi, I had a note from the sanitation crew that said my trash was too close too a vehicle (true) and had to be placed on the curb.
I live at 419 S Highland Ave. The trash and recycling cans were on the sidewalk, as they always are, so I'm not sure if I'm supposed to put them closer to the street? Also, they are very close to a car because it's the only place they can be put other than the street or the driveway (which is shared) so I'm not sure what I should do.
Also, my yard waste wasn't picked up at all, so I'm in a bit of a quandary. I think very highly of the folks picking up the trash and recycling and want to do whatever I can to make it as easy as possible. I'm just not sure how to do that. Please advise.
Thanks very much,
Deborah

out on west 3rd street at the intersection of 3rd & yancy, there's a vacant business building, & the yard hasn't been mowed yet this year. i think it used to be "B&L communications". as i walk by the front on the public sidewalk, the weeds are up to my waist. one time recently after dark, i could tell there was an animal scurrying around in there, but i couldn't see what it was since it was hidden. felt scary to walk by there, but i have to because of my situation with where i live & work.

The bushes are overgrown and cover the sidewalk. It is hard to walk on the sidewalk without hitting ones head on the bushes.

Some work has been done on the sewer/drainage at this location.
But the hole was never filled or covered with grass. Three foot tall clean out PVC pipe sticks out. Clay drains down the sidewalk every time it rains.

Stormwater runoff into detention area on E. Brightcrest on east side of S. Smith Road is slow to drain due to vegetation blockage of storm sewer. During heavy rain it results in water flowing over sidewalk and into the street. It also is flooding spruce trees and thus may be detrimental to their health if the condition continues into somewhat warmer weather.

Overgrown bamboo at 1002 W 6 St and Elm bending into sidewalks and street obstructing traffic. Bird droppings covering the sidewalk. The invasive plant has encroached on neighboring property where we live at 1004, so we are having to engage removal services and eventually install impermeable barriers at our expense. The back yard of 1002 is overgrown also, feral cats, possum and a skunk have been sited or smelled in a fallen shed which has not been cleared out. The Elm Street side of 1002 is full of debris and overgrowth and there is an unattended stagnant water feature where we hear frogs in the summer (which do attract copperhead snakes).
Someone does seem to be inhabiting the house, though we know that the owner of the house does not reside in Indiana presently.
