I submitted a request for repair of this sidewalk in front of the house with no response. So then I submitted a 50-50 request to get this repaired, also with no response. I have already seen a child fall and skin up his hands and knees due to this sidewalk which has been like this for so long. It got worse when a city work truck came over the curb to collect brush and scooped so deep that the big root was pulled up and worsened the crack. Several surrounding slabs are cracked, but this one is the worst. Who do I need to contact to get this hazard repaired? Nothing so far seems to have worked. Thank you for any help or information you can give me.

Dear City Hall, I am writing to bring to your attention an issue I have noticed on the north side of 3rd Street, between Grant Street and Dunn Street, next to the public parking lot. The sidewalk in this area has become hazardous due to the roots of a large tree causing the paving stones to rise, creating a tripping hazard for pedestrians. This is particularly concerning because the bike lane on 3rd Street, heading east to west, ends at Dunn Street, forcing cyclists and scooter riders onto the sidewalk. Many cyclists and scooter riders have tripped over the uneven pavement here. Additionally, the sidewalk at the northwest corner of Dunn Street and 3rd Street has multiple areas of damage. These issues pose a significant risk to public safety, and I kindly request that the necessary repairs be carried out as soon as possible. Thank you for your attention to this matter. The sidewalk on Stands Drive (Eastside of 3401 S. Ashwood Drive) is in terrible shape (crumbled gravel). The problem exits on S. Ashwood on the north side of the property. We reported the condition of sidewalk over ten years ago. Really.

I own the property at 809 S. Fess. The sidewalk in the front of 809 S. Fess is sinking in right above where the storm drain runs underneath it. There is a crack where you can see a huge cavity opened up under the sidewalk. I am afraid it may cave in. The storm drain must be leaking under there. Please check it out. Thank You!

Dry grate with inches of water around it. At least part of this grate is above grade so there is 2-3 inches of standing water after every rain. The sidewalk and yard get soaked by passing cars and there is usually standing water in the intersection that never drains, just eventually evaporates

I don't know if this is a city, IU, or even state issue, but the storm sewer just north of the entrance to the IU Outdoor Pool on Fee Lane is completely clogged. This creates a pool of standing water that covers the east sidewalk and part of the road. It's a possible breading ground for mosquitos. It also forces pedestrians to walk on the road since the west sidewalk is closed due to construction.

Hi, I'd like to report a sewer problem. There is a steady stream of water flowing out of a manhole. It leaks across the sidewalk and then onto Rogers where it flows into the storm sewer drain. It's on the northeast corner at the intersection of South Rogers and Coolidge. I just wanted to alert the utilities department about the issue. Thanks.

Four scooters were parked at 7:45 today transversely on the sidewalk on fourth street next to Taste of India. They are blocking the sidewalk. If someone with a wheelchair of a baby stroller gets to this point, they won't be able to use the sidewalk. This is just an example, but in general these scooters, which have recently appeared in Bloomington, are usually badly parked. Also it should not be allowed to ride these scooters on sidewalks since they travel very fast! Please do something to regulate the usage of the scooters. Best regards, Carmen

Scooters blocking sidewalk and stairs in front of Johnson Creamery building. There were even more farther down where the sidewalk is more narrow, you can see them in the background in the attached photo. Saw eight of them total and all of them were in the middle of the sidewalk.
