Does the city have a plan for taking in, and disposing of, our old trash bins and cans? Saying that "Residents are encouraged to reuse their old trash cans as yard waste containers" seems ingenuous. How long a yard waste season goes Bloomington have? -- 6 months? Where will I store 2 35-gal. cans and a 20-gal., plus the 3 bins currently used for recycling -- since my garage will be filled up with two 64-vallon containers?

It appears that the "wildfowers" which were blocking the vision of drivers exiting Prospect Hill neighborhood on Euclid and Second street are back again this year!!!!! Sorry to complain again about the same problem, but it is a very dangerous effort to turn onto Second street from this corner due to the rise in the road which obstructs vehicles traveling from town toward 37 and with the patch of weeds growing next to the street, the oncoming cars cannot be seen until they are practically at the intersection. Surely the homeowner has not forgotten the complaint from last year, but it would be advisable to remind them of the dangerous situation before there are some serious accidents. Thank you for looking into this problem.

Our children, with 2 adult supervisors have to take a chance by crossing the street to go from the east side of S Highland Avenue to the west side of S Highland to go and enjoy the Winslow Woods park. Please paint a crosswalk on S Highland Avenue leading from YMCA entrance to across the street to the Winslow Wood Park. Will need to erect signage for motorists to see there is a crosswalk. Children and adults could safely cross the street and not fear for their lives.

I was paying to have a pass at the parking garage above Scottys and had to move away from work. I had a charge I did not recognize on my account and had Chase look into it, it was the parking pass. 3-4 months before I left my pass stopped working, I called and they said the payment terms changed and that my account was deactivated. Is there a way to get the charges to stop, my only other option with chase is to cancel the card. I would appreciate any help you can offer!

The report I tried to submit was about 5 street lights being out on 3rd street between Union St and College Mall Road. There is no yellow curb north of the parking garage at the new Urban Station apartments on Washington, meaning that cars can park right up to the entrance. This makes the field of vision for vehicles leaving the garage very poor. Compounding this is the issue of cars briefly double parking alongside the car immediately north of the exit to pick up and drop off tenants.This is especially problematical because there is a bike lane right up against the parked cars. As I was typing this, I saw a car nearly hit one cyclist in the bike lane and two children riding on the sidewalk. I have also seen a few close calls between vehicles. The only thing preventing accidents at this point is the large moving vehicles parking in the bike lane, forcing bikes to move over to where they can be seen. A yellow curb to the north would greatly help expand visibility for drivers exiting the parking garage. Additionally, now that riding on the sidewalk is legal and I just saw two children nearly hit by a car exiting from the garage, I think it would be prudent to have a mirror installed so drivers can see the sidewalk before exiting--not sure if this would be a city issue or an issue with Urban Station itself. Being that these apartments have been occupied for only four days and I have witnessed one accident, three or four vehicular close calls, and two vehicle-bicycle close calls, I hope the city gives this problem area the attention it needs. As is, it is only a matter of time before a serious collision occurs.
