I am writing to request a deer crossing sign at the intersection of Highland and Thornton due to a family of deer and the recent death of a fawn from being hit by a car.

Bus Services (Bloomington Transit)

Case Date:
9/22/2017

Hello, I am finally writing here because of the immense and frankly overwhelming inadequacies of Bloomington Transit and what seems to be everyone working there above the position of bus driver. I have emailed them 4(!) times without any response. My primary concern is specifically with the 6 bus route, but it is rampant amongst many of the routes. I have consulted with multiple 6 bus drivers, who will remain anonymous, and discovered quite a bit. I didn't know that Bloomington's government had contracted the group that organizes Bloomington transit, and that seems to be the root of where the problem lies. Bloomington Transit has gone with apparently very little oversight for quite the time now, and I believe that time must come to an end. They are abusing their monopoly of student dependency and it is sickening. The 6 bus route has not been adjusted at all to deal with the new City Flats on Walnut which have completely overloaded the bus. This, combined with the 6 very large apartment complexes the 6 bus already directly served, plus the incompetence of whoever is in charge of dispatching the buses, has completely destroyed the route. WHY YOU SHOULD CARE: I know that money is the only way to make any sense to a government, so how would you like a massive lawsuit when one of these now CONSTANTLY overloaded buses crash? Everyday the bus is packed to the gils with people filled in way past the yellow line, which is entirely illegal. Bus drivers have told me that Bloomington Transit knows about this and by their lack of response are wholly complicit and will be liable in the end. That's on you. This is not only incredibly wrong on the grounds of being monopolistic and shrewd business practice, but it is now endangering human lives. This is not even to mention how abusive this is to the drivers, who are the real reason I'm writing you today. It is time to reign this in, before people are seriously hurt and the blood (and money owed) will be on your hands.

Sidewalk & Curb Complaints

Case Date:
9/25/2017

Hello, On our property at 3706 South Court, sits a very large Bradford Pear tree. The tree is close the curb next to the street and I was told by a landscaping company, it was probably most likely owned by the city of Bloomington. It has lifted our sidewalk significantly as well as part of our driveway. This is a liability issue because many children ride bikes, scooters, sevreal people walk their dogs etc around there and could easily not pay attention and trip and fall. Someone from this department really needs to come out and assess the situation. You are welcome to call me or email. Thank you. Jane Mehrizi

uneven sidewalks in and around Peppergrass. Between 733 & 735 Pepperridge Dr. I fell today, passed out, injured my knee replacement, hands, hip, ribs. Happened to look back when a dog barked, stubbed my toe on 1/2 bump in sidewalk. Thanks

Why have long stretches of the road on S. Washington now unavailable for parking? If this is a new standard, will this be done city wide?
