Hello. You might recall that I recently asked the City about removing this sign; you stated it was the jurisdiction of the State. Here's my request to them and their reply from June 18. I doubt this is a legal sign from understanding past history. Can you remove this unneeded sign and alleviate sign pollution? Can you please look into removing the temporary sign that was installed on SR46 in Bloomington at its intersection with Pete Ellis Drive? The sign points directions to local businesses whose entrances were affected during last year's SR46 Bloomington bypass construction project. This sign is located on the NW corner of SR46 (East Third Street) and Pete Ellis Drive. It's obvious this sign was meant to be temporary, and now that construction is complete it should be removed. Dear Mr. Arvesen, I sent your concerns to our Construction Department. They state that the temporary sign in question is not a sign that INDOT and/or the Contractor working on the State Road 46 Bypass project installed. This is a sign that the shopping center had made and installed. You would need to contact the shopping center management to have this sign removed because it is a sign that they had installed, not INDOT. Our Construction Department has also sent an email to the City of Bloomington to notify them of your concerns about this sign.

Have been in Bloomington, IN doing business since 1998. Moved from Michigan to grow in a community that can support my business growth as well as my family growing demand of good city, parks, things to do and education. I am proud to be part of bloomington, as a family person and business man. This is one of most multi cultural town with always things to do and well maintained with awesome inviting landscaping, streets, bike paths,etc.. through out the whole city. When I am trying to sign-in as a first time user, the retype email (for confirmation) did not match with the email address in the above line. I tried thrice with my three different emails and it gives me the same error message that the two email addresses don't match. I wanted to register for the Youth Program due 6/27 but am unable.Please help.

For HAND: this is my annual complaint about the shrubs in front of 401 S High Street. They are starting to encroach on the sidewalk again so that it will be hard for someone with a stroller to pass that part of the sidewalk. And once someone is in the neighborhood, they may want to check out the south-west corner of the Second and High Street intersection. Weeds are starting to creep up the sidewalk there as well. Thanks!
