City sewer line is clogged and water is backing up into basement. Mann Plumbing has been there and the line from the home to the city sewer is clear and they found standing water in the city sewer line. Thank you.
Daniel Street from Forrester to the west, to Olcott on the east, has numerous trees that are mature with low hanging branches. Not only are the trees dropping limbs routinely that find their way to the sewer drains and are causing clogs and water to build up on the road, but they are a hazard as personal vehicles and commercial vehicles travel this section of road daily and hit them and/or vehicles are constantly swerving to miss them and narrowly miss hitting approaching vehicles, and there have been near misses with people on bikes, walkers, kids, etc. The city needs to take the time to send out crews to work this entire road and take down all the low limbs on these trees so that there are none coming in contact with vehicles, and really trim them back so not hanging over the road. Tree cleanup needed in the creek alongside the Clear Creek Trail between That Road and Church Lane. There were trees at various locations that fell into the creek from the trail side that the city owns. These trees cause a potential flood hazard and need to be removed. I spoke with City of Bloomington Stormwater and MS4 Coordinator and they referred me to report this to Parks and Rec to take care of the issue.
The southwest corner of 3rd and Walnut has a curb ramp that is too high. It's one inch and shouldn't be over 1/2." So if a person with a rollator is going to up that ramp, their wheels hit and it the top goes forward and the wheels don't go up. This happened to a blind person I was escorting. It needs an asphalt patch to smooth it out and make it traversable.
The curb at the corner of Landmark and Arch Haven is very steep, about 3 inches of rise at an angle probably close to 70°. Landmark Ave has many medical facilities and this path is the one people would travel on between Adams and 3rd St where transit vehicles provide access. It should be smoothed out to provide a safer ramp for people with mobility devices and unsure footing.
Due to efforts to calm traffic on Hawthorne and Maxwell traffic has increased considerably on Sheridan and Southdowns. Please provide both immediate (temporary) and long term tools to calm traffic to avoid a car hitting a pedestrian, biker, etc. on the bike paths on the same road.
On the north side of E. Smith Ave, roughly 25 yards west of the intersection with Henderson, there is a tree that is covered with poison ivy vines. The vines now hang over the sidewalk, making it difficult to walk on the sidewalk without bumping into poison ivy leaves.
Homeless have left trash in yard, city sidewalk and the creek along the business.
Hello Park and Recreation Team, I would like to share my thoughts about the new equipment called "Victory Tower” at Bryan park. Would you consider adding something like a ladder to come down? I see 2 options to come down either by a pole or come down with the slope. When more kids are waiting in the line to enjoy the equipment, it is hard to come down the slope. I do not know but I feel like the pole is expected to be used. When my child tried to use the pole, it was a little bit far from the top of the equipment so she got scared of grabbing a pole. More kids were trying to play with the equipment and my child felt pressured and cried. I wish I could have climbed the pole to grab her but I could not. If a child gets stuck at the top of the equipment, it will cause congestion. I feel like adding something like a ladder to come down would be more helpful.
This morning at 10 am, the two dogs who live at 2008 E Greenbriar charged, barking with ears flat, my small dog and I, again. Thanks to two other passersby, the dogs got home. However. This is at least the third time these dogs have charged us personally in the street this year. Other neighbors also have had difficulties. On a previous occasion, a neighbor who lives on Hyde Park Circle told me, "We've also had trouble with them." Another time, a small boy who saw me walking by the house said, "Be careful. Sometimes those dogs get out. They chased me." He said neighbors came to help him. I don't want anything bad to happen to the dogs. I also don't want to feel as if I have to be prepared for a possible attack every time I walk by the house, which is how I currently feel. (I walk my dog daily and there aren't many other ways out of the neighborhood.) My dog is terrified of other dogs, even when they don't come on the run and barking, and I have a responsibility to protect him. What has to happen in order to keep this from occurring on a semi-regular basis? Thank you.
