I tried and tried to get the "location" to 2238 S Sweetbriar circle, but it kept saying 2227, not 2238. Anyway, the locust trees in the tree plot in front of my house have limbs growing toward the ground. I have to practically get on my knees when mowing to get under one of them. Many of the trees in this addition have limbs very low to the ground, sidewalks, streets, or peoples' yards and need some trimming.
Once again I tried to make the map show 2238 S Sweetbriar Circle, but to not avail. Behind my home there is a city right-away with trees. Many of them are those "tree of Heaven" trees from China. Several of their limbs are nearly to my newly installed roof and others, along with other vegetation are encroaching on my lawn. Mowing is becoming difficult, sunshine doesn't get through so I am seeing lots of moss and mold. Some of those trees need trimming and the brush needs to be cut back so I get some sunshine back there. Also since the city has redone a drain up on Henderson Street, I am getting lots of rocks, dirt, etc. with every rainfall that is filling up the area in the back. I moved here in 1998 and It has never been this bad until the drain was redone. Thanks for listening to my complaints. Hope these things can be fixed. The "tree of Heaven" trees are very nasty. They are terrible and multiply very quickly and grow extremely fast. Can anything be done to eradicate them? They root out any native Indiana trees. They need to be gone!
On the SW corner of E Winslow Rd and S Walnut Pike there is a poison ivy vine sticking out over the sidewalk. It is at a height of 5 feet.

overgrowth. hard to tell from the sunlight in the photo but the scratchy plant goes from one end to the other, can't really walk through if you're in shorts.
The city blocked some section of the road off (presumably to slow traffic). Now there is just yard waste and old hay bails left in them. It looks trashy.
House at the corner of W 6th and Fairview has allowed decorative grasses to grow into sidewalk and into Fairview Street. Cars cannot see pedestrians as they pull through Fairview and peds have to walk into street to avoid getting hit in face by plants.
Has the city considered installing a protected bike lane on 3rd street? Particularly between Jordan Ave and Indiana Ave. I just drove by and there were TWO Semi-tractor trailers parked in the lane and a sedan parked in the lane. It really reflects poorly on the city that you put in useless white paint and nothing to actually protect people from vehicles. I never bother to use the bike lanes for this reason, you never know when you'll have to keep re-entering vehicle traffic.
The sidewalks between the B-Line Trail and Madison Street at the 3rd Street bridge are getting overgrown. Both sidewalks on the north and south sides of 3rd Street running west from the trail to Madison have low hanging trees and overgrown shrubs. There is also a lot of loose sand on the south sidewalk of 3rd Street overpass. As the only way onto the Trail at 3rd, this all makes for an adventure. On my Bicycle I have to be very careful. I'd like to see this trimmed. I bike commute on the trail from the south to the area of 3rd and Madison. My roommate bike commutes to Cowork. I see others use the sidewalks too. Could be much safer. In the transition from Longview Ave. to E. 7th St., the asphalt multi-use lane turns into a double-wide cement sidewalk. I've always stayed on the path because it links directly to the underpass at the bridge and seems and extension of the bike path. But today someone told me, "Get off the sidewalk idiot!" I pride myself on following the rules of bicycling. AQm I right or wrong to be using that stretch of cement? Also, Smith Road between 3rd St. and Moore's Pike is a disaster for bicyclists--way too narrow to safely bike on the road, but only a cement sidewalk on the west side, which then vanishes to become a multi-use path on the WEST side of the road, which then vanishes again at the corner of Moore's Pike to become a sidewalk traveling west. How can my kids safely ride their bikes down Smith Road!?
