322 E Tenth St. is not listed as a residence that qualifies for a residential parking permit on https://bloomington.in.gov/mybloomington The house directly adjacent to 322 E Tenth St., 530 N Grant St., is listed on the website as being within city limits, so I was wondering why this rental property was not included in this permit coverage. My roommates and I for the 2024-2025 school year are looking to purchase parking passes and are experiencing issues in the application process. Since the property was initially listed as a duplex, I have tried 322 1/2 E Tenth, but that did not work on the website.
There is a car that has been parking for the last six months on the North side of the street on Morningside Dr. at Smith Rd. It is a danger and menace to traffic entering and leaving Park Ridge East. Can this section of road be posted "No Parking"?
Some thing is going on over Smith Rd. Travel is very heavy on Heritage Rd . Before, the Heritage Rd is a side street, parking is allowed, even it’s a public street not a public parking area. Now it become a Main Street, park on the side of the street really creates a very dangerous situation. Is possible city can provide a better place for those park on the street to move to? It’s much safe for the rest of the drivers.
Thanks for the reply. I am taking about the situation now. When the time I back up from my driveway to the Heritage, I looked right, left, till no car in sight. I slowly back to the street, immediately a loud squeaky brake behind me. A red car from 3rd street almost hits my car. Of course those cars can park wherever they allowed after the construction done on Smith Rd. But now it’s so dangerous! You should not wait till something terribly happened before taking actions.
I reported the driving situation on Heritage Rd. Today when I back up to Heritage Rd, the ankle of the next door car parking on the street do block the view. Only when the time I am all out I saw the car from 3 rd street, and the driver in that car be able to see me. It’s not speeding problem, it’s the blocking of view make the back up so dangerous. Citizen’s safety is more important than individuals’ convenient. Please be more concerned.
I live in 117 S.Heritage Rd. Bloomington. Thanks for the help, the blind spot cleared for 2 days. Now there’s another vehicle park at that spot. My friend passed by Heritage most of the time because the construction on Smith Rd. She felt so sorry for because Heritage Rd. Is such a mass. Actually I do enjoy how people react to that one lane place, they just patiently slow down or even stop to wait for people on the other side to pass. I really respect those people, that’s what make American so special. On the other hand, there’s one one person hold on his privilege “legal parking on the public street”, not even trying to make an small effect to make all the rest a safe street to drive. How selfish and not considerate. What a shame!
I live on S. Heritage Rd, Bloomington. My neighbor at 200 prefer to park his vehicles on the street which creates a blind angle for me to see the car turn in from 3rd street. I am not sure if people turn in from 3rd can see me back up clearly. For several times, once I back into the middle of the road, there’s a car right behind me. It’s unimaginable. What is happening? I wonder anything can be done to solve this dangerous situation?
Car parked on grass at 4111 E. Deckard. I believe this is a rental.
Is the City no longer sending neighborhood permit renewal applications by mail or email? They will expire soon and when i went to the appropriate web page it looks like that has been operational since July 17, i.e., roughly a month before the old permits expire. That's plenty of time, but i would have appreciated a reminder. Thanks for taking this question, and perhaps referring it to the appropriate person.
