Hi,
I am kind of confused about offroading laws / city ordinances. From what I can tell it is not illegal to drive a vehicle (say a jeep) on someone elses property unless one of the following is true:
- There are posted no trespassing signs
- You are told to stop
- You have to bypass some sort of security system (such as a locked gated)
This doesn't sound right to me though. Surely i'm missing something? Or is it legal to drive a vehicle on someones yard or something as long as you are not explicitly told not to? That would seem weird to me but I just cant find anything that says otherwise.

Hello, my name is Rob. I am a state certified Firefighter and EMT. I Collect fire and EMS patches. I really want to start collecting police patches. I'm not sure if people other than a LEO can ask for a patch but I wondered because I am still in emergency services as a fireman and an EMT If I could request a used patch from your police department. I was severely injured about a year ago and cannot go back to firefighting. I can scan copies of my Michigan fire and EMS certifications if needed to prove I am legit.
Any patch I receive is strictly for display and never sold. I thank you for considering my request for one of your department patches. Im trying to collect patches to kinda stay in the emergency services loop and as a hobby.
Thank you
Rob Rivait

Our office is located at 1351 W. Tapp Road, right at the barricades for the Tapp & Rockport Road project. We are having trouble with people speeding through our parking lot. Some think they can go through the parking lot to get to the Autism Outreach lot and back to Tapp Road. This time of year, all of our spaces are full and our parking lot is busy enough with actual business traffic. We don't object to people having to turn around after they ignore the road closed sign at the roundabout. We do object to their speeding through our parking lot. Is there some assistance we can get with this? Thank you sincerely.

Please update your police officers on policies regarding insurance, warranted searched, and speed limit postings. I was pulled over yesterday by a police officer who said I was tailgating yet speeding, and when I explained I was tailgating because I had to slam on my brakes since he pulled out into the lane. I believed he was making an emergency maneuver, however was just trying to get in traffic. He pulled me over, said he would cite me if I did not have my insurance, which I did, but it is also a law that I have 24 hours to provide that proof. It is also a law that if he has no reason to search my trunk, he cannot. However, he asked and I, politely, said yes. However, this was not necessary as there was no probable cause to search. Luckily my father is IMPD and was in direct contact with his supervisor. But I would like to make the city aware of this incident, as I felt very uncomfortable. Especially when said officer kept saying things were expired, then changing his mind when I said they were not. He was very unprofessional, and as someone who has been around law enforcement for 21 years, exhibited very concerning behavior.
Thank you.

Thank-you to so those who spoke to Bloomington High School about the PA speaker in recent weeks. Between away games and what appears to be an effort to reduce the volume, I have seen a significant difference.
However, I am not sure why, but tonight seems to be worse than ever. Inside our house, I can still hear every word of the loudspeaker. I know when there are touchdowns. I know who scored what. Please speak to the high school again.

Start enforcing against IU golf cart type vehicles. Please require at least a slow moving vehicle emblem or lamp as allowed by Indiana Code for municipalities. Plus they don't use turn signals, don't get over to allow passing, etc. Arrogant, dangerous, and obstructive.
