Hello, I'm reaching out on behalf of my employer Hanapin Marketing. We currently reside in the Showers complex at 501 N. Morton Street, and our employees share the Showers Red Parking Lot with County employees. Over the last 6 months, we have all noticed a rise in crime in the parking lot, particularly with theft. I've attached several police reports that have been filed in the last few months to support these claims. These are the incidents that were reported to the police, however, there have been others as well that were never filed. For example, in early January one of our employees had his door handle ripped off his car entirely. We are hoping that the city will notice this trend and assist us in our request to advocate for higher security and/or additional patrols in that area to deter thefts. This is the address of our neighbors. They have several dead trees with very large limbs that fall on our house, cars, and in our yard. We have made attempts to speak with them via knocking and letters all to no avail. These trees are dangerous and could fall and injure anyone in my family, my house, or our cars at any time. we need to know what can be done about this issue.

Hello, At 7:30am, someone began jack-hammering the sidewalk immediately outside my apartment window at 222 N College Ave. There are several apartments facing that sidewalk at this location, and it is directly across the street from the Hilton Hotel. In other words, since many people may be trying to sleep in this area, it seems a bit unreasonable to start something so loud before 8am. Thanks for your attention to this matter. ALL street lights on the west side of College Ave from 17th street to the railroad underpass just south of 14th street were observed to be inoperative on the evening of Sept 25th, 2017. What is going on?

The street light at the intersection of Woodburn Ave and 15th street is out. This was observed on the evening of Sept 25th, 2017. This is a dark neighborhood and cannot have its intersection lights inoperative. Few residents keep their porch lights on as I do front and back.

There is a streetlight out between 14th and 15th streets on Walnut on the east side of the street in the vicinity of the House of Hunan restaurant.

I couldn't find the location in uReport to report the need for some additional street lights, so I am pointing out the real need here. The area is on 11th street between Rogers and Walnut. This area has recently seen large scale apartment development and there is simply not enough light to make this part of 11th street safe. I would suggest the type of shorter lights that are used around the square in front of businesses on the square would be both attractive and effective. Please feel free to email me if I should report this to another dept. I do think it needs to be attended to as soon as practical before the dark of winter sets in. It would be terrible if another resident was kidnapped due to a lack of light.
