On the northwest corner, the traffic signal pedestrian signage and button are dangling from the cord—it appears to have been pried loose.
There is a large branch dangling from electrical wires across E University street in the 900 block
Hi. This area of Maxwell lane needs to be built up a bit higher to help rainwater drain off into the grass. This spot retains water for many days after even a moderate rain. People like to park on the grass which is fair since it’s on the city’s right of way, but it looks bad, splashes pedestrians and bicycles and I think could be improved with a minimal amount of work. The edge of the road just needs a bit of building up so water drains properly. Thanks. Fred Pavalko

Tree branch blocking the road
There is a utility pole on the east side of my lot which has all kinds of wires, cables and other things running up and down the pole as well as some extending horizontally (which I assume carry power). There is a line of very tall pine trees next to the fence on the west side of the lot just east of me. A few weeks ago Duke Power trimmed the top portions of those trees, the portions surrounding two large cables which I believe carry power to the subdivision south of me. Duke did not trim the lower portions of the tall trees and now some of those lower branches have collapsed onto horizontal wires extending from the utility pole, wires underneath the two large cables. I think some of these wires are old telephone lines which are now not that far off the ground. I need to get the lower portions of those trees trimmed (the ones hanging over my property) but I'm not comfortable hiring tree trimmers to do the necessary work when there are all kinds of wires interspersed with the tree branches. I got a referral from Duke for a contractor who can figure out what all the lines are for and take down the ones which are inactive such as old telephone wires. However, the Duke contractor said the City needs to look at this first to see what, if anything, the City needs to do before the Duke contractor does any work. City, can you help me here? There is some urgency here as these lower branches keep collapsing and anyone on the ground can reach wires attached to the utility pole.
I was driving on E. Thornton and an overhead line dropped on my car. Made it through fine, but wanted to report the line being down. I think it must be a phone or cable line, but I'm not sure.
