For the past two snow falls, the cul-de-sac containing my address has not been plowed or salted when all other streets in Renwick have been cleared. The cul-de-sac is on a relatively steep grade so it is difficult to navigate when it has not been treated.

The pole and street signs for "JACKSON" and "12TH" is no longer standing. Judging by the tire tracks in the snow, I would guess that some driver knocked it over when cutting the corner sometime on February 18, but I did not witness the collision. If it was a plow truck, I would assume the truck did not have the plow blade down, or else the blade would have hit the curb first, I would guess. Please put the pole and street signs back up. Thank you.

The roads and sidewalks out here are awful. It’s been 3 days since it snowed and everything is covered in ice and it’s extremely dangerous. Cars are slipping out into the state road intersection. Some can’t even get out of the uphill part of the parking lot. It’s ridiculous.

The City of Bloomington Street Department uses excessive amounts of salt during minor snowfall. This morning salt is being put down on streets that are completely clear, that still have plenty of salt remaining from what was spread yesterday afternoon.
The salt ends up in PILES on the street. This is harmful to the environment, damaging to motor vehicles, and a waste of money and resources.
The city could consider use of sand, which is less destructive. If using salt, please consider using much less and spreading it more judiciously. It will still do the job.
