We live right next to Bachelor Middle School and was not awaken during the Tornado Warning by the siren that is on the roof of Bachelor MS. We have been awaken by it more than once in the past 2 years and when it goes off it is much louder than our alarm clocks so I do not believe that all 4 of us would ever sleep through it. My request is just that the functionality of the siren at Bachelor Middle School is checked. Thank you.

Hello, I live two doors down from the Banneker center. I have a request that the city, park the van either on the side street next to the center or in front of the center...I realize this is city parking and they have a right to park there. The staff park the van in front of my house and leave it there all weekend and they usually park the van directly in front of mine and my neighbor's house, while they have plenty of room on the west side of the building to park. Or possibly at the girls Club. They usually leave the van there all weekend . They usually park at at least 3 feet from the end of the yellow line. We can normally park three cars there. This effectively cuts off any accessible parking in front of my house and my neighbor's house. I don't mind the extra parking for the kids activities all during the week but this is the staff van. I know this is perfectly legal but on in the interest of good neighborhood relations I am making this request. thank you, Barbara Metz 1005 west 7th bjmetz@indiana.edu

Please forward this praise to the appropriate dept: If we haven't thanked the appropriate department already, on behalf of Bloomington Transit I want to give an enormous thanks to all the staff responsible for clearing the roads so that BT's fixed route and BTaccess (disabled transport) could successfully maintain operations last week during the awful cold and snow. Hello, I am actually a resident of Vigo County but I lived in Bloomington years ago while Mayor Kruzan was a State Rep. I wrote to him after the Matthew Shepard murder urging him to support hate crime legislation and he responding with a handwritten letter promising to fight hate crimes. I still have the letter framed and that response made Mark Kruzan my favorite politician. I was overjoyed to hear he became mayor of Bloomington after I moved away. He is a great man. Hearing that he performed several same sex marriages last February further proved that this is a man who firmly believes in equality for all. I am writing because my partner and I are visiting New York City next year to be legally married and we would love to have a letter from him that we could frame and display at our wedding.

I had a very bad experience on the Bloomington Transit today. At 4:04pm 13 Aug 12, I caught Bus # 0863 to downtown; I requested of the Driver at that time to contact the terminal if he was going to be late for the 4W Bus Heatherwood, which leaves at 4:10 approx. He waited till too late after we departed to contact the terminal and subsequently I missed by bus. I was forced to wait 1 more hour for another bus. I purchased a 30 day bus pass in hope that the City Transit system would be responsible and courteous professional drivers. I called 336-ride and spoke with Supv Anna. Now, I was upset of course but I at not item threatened her because I have a witness that will verify the words I spoke. I told her of my experience, she acted as if she was overwhelmed and unattached to my situation, she advised about a recent change BT made on their printed schedule that they are not responsible for certain conditions. That may be so but, they need to re-look at their system and re-work the routes and drive times to better serve the public. I have been riding the bus only for two months and I have had call and report Driver attitudes and wreckless driving behavior. The mayor needs to be advised of this so he can direct a inquiries into BTs lack of safety and good service the citizens of this "safe and civil city" I most likely will not ride a bus once I get my car back. One more issue. A young black women shared with he of an incident where a white driver would not open the door on the bus one and let her in. I have her name and phone number because she is of am ethnic background, she believes the city will not address her issue either. What is Bloomington becoming Mr Mayor!
