The drainage ditch leading into a sewer grate behind our house is outgrown and filled with debris that is blocking the sewer grate. It is typically cleaned out by the city at least once a year but no one has come for more than 12 months.
This is in reference to a prior case submission (#913401) - the prior service request was closed and listed as the property owner's responsibility but the case history for the location shows that in 2014 the same issue was submitted by my former neighbor and the city did resolve the issue with the storm drain being blocked. 9/10/2024 10:05:29 Closed by Emily Tate According to CBU records, the ditch at this location is private property, so maintenance is the responsibility of the property owner, or in some cases a neighborhood group/HOA. Corner Patterson and Morton there is a storm drain that is 3 inches or more before the road surface. This may be enough to damage some cars. It is close to New Hope side of the street.

During heavy rains, we have been having sewage backing up into our basement. I suspect the cause may be rain water entering the sewer system through this manhole.

Following the fiber optic utility work done the week of July 23rd we are experiencing bubbling and slow drainage and back flow throughout our house. We have ran snakes through the drains and have found no blockages within our property.
