Sidewalk Snow Removal

Case Date:
3/4/2015

Olcott Park trail is snow plowed regularly. The paved connector path on the from the east side of the Olcott Park trail loop down to S. Mill Stone Way is not being plowed and causing a safety hazard. Multiple people have fallen when the snow melts and refreezes. This is only another 100 feet of trail and would only take an additional minute or two to plow. Also, the paved connector path between Olcott Park loop trail and the Jackson Creek Middle School parking lot never gets plowed either. No way for kids in the neighborhood to get to the trail safely from the school parking lot. Could the snow plow operator please take an additional few minutes to clear these two small sections that connect to the Olcott Park loop trail! Thank you!

Sidewalk Snow Removal

Case Date:

703 S Park, 705 S Park, 717 S Park, 723 S Park, and 600 S Ballantine are regularly not removing their snow/ice. It would be a great service if you could please watch this and/or provide a warning (or if warnings have not been heeded, then the appropriate city fine). The 700 block of S Park is not easy to walk down as a result of several of them clustering together and 600 S Ballantine, most winters, generally does not remove their sidewalk snow/ice making that corner a dangerous one to walk on. Thank you for your help and attention.

Yes, this is a sidewalk. It was beautifully shoveled on Thursday, but the snow plow came by and plowed it under again. Don't give 704 and 7014 S Eastside Drive a ticket, because we have done our duty and our sidewalks were clean.

If you haven't already, you might see whether 1223 E Maxwell and/or 613 S Highland Ave. can please remove the snow from their sidewalks. Although the neighborhood has frequently reminded residents to do so, and neighbors have volunteered those too sick or elderly to do so themselves, these two residents continue to leave their sidewalks completely full of snow. Thank you for your kind help as we work to having safer sidewalks for pedestrians. I appreciate it.

The connector paths on Olcott Park trail from Mill Stone Way and Jackson Creek Middle School did not get plowed at all this year. No way for students to get from school parking lot to make it through Olcott Park to the adjoining neighborhood. Very dangerous walking up/down the paved connector path from Mill Stone Way to Olcott Park Trail. These were overlooked this year. The thaw/refreeze of the snow made these access trails very dangerous

Potholes, Other Street Repair

Case Date:

Location: 611 E State Road 45,46 Bypass and 711 to a lesser extent. There is gravel and sand on the driveways of these homes at the junction of the sidewalks. This makes it difficult for the bicycle riders to ride throughout it. I assume it is the responsibility of the owners to clean it up. If you could give them a call, maybe that would help. The 611 address is very bad and the 711 address is moderate. On the positive side, your department has been doing an excellent job of cleaning up the limestone chunks that fall down on the sidewalk further east where you had to cut through the stone for the new highway. Thanks! Regards, Andrew Loeb
