The corner of Broadmoor and East Oakland Avenue has had I don't know how many accidents mostly due to the bush on the South side of the intersection. If coming off Broadmoor you cannot see past the bush without putting your nose out into traffic on Oakland Avenue. This bush should eith be removed or trimmed way back so you can see oncoming traffic on East Oakland Avenue.
Our son plays Babe Ruth baseball at Winslow on the Gold Field. We are very unhappy with the lights there. There are several lights burned out on each pole and when the 7:45 game is going on it gets very dark. It is quite dangerous, especially around home plate for the batter, catcher,and umpire. Someone is going to get hurt. If it is our son, we won't hesitate to take action. The lights need to be replaced!
Some kids got into the the barn at Schmalz Farm Park a week or two ago and left a "window" open. Now other people are going in and out. Not sure how many or for what purpose, but we can tell by the movements of a bucket they use as a stool. Mainly kids exploring probably, but who knows.
I was at a cookout at Bryan Park this past week and noticed the orange slide near the shelter on the Woodlawn avenue side isn't very sturdy. The top of the slide where it connects to the rest of the structure only has one bolt and it looks as if it should have 4. A man there commented on how "treacherous" it was and wouldn't let his daughter play on it.
At a Babe Ruth game at Winslow @ a late game, CANNOT SEE because there are 20 field lights NOT working. REALLY?!?!? All the money that get spent in this town on beautification and you can't afford lights?!?!?
The water from the spigot next to the Bryan Park tennis courts is spraying rather than streaming, which makes it difficult for dogs to get a drink.
I paid my son's 40.00 parking ticket #I1200280 on line May 9, 2012. Your website said that it did not go through. So I tried it again, and it said there was a problem with the credit card. I tried it one more time and it went through. Well... I received three receipts saying it was paid. So now I have paid 80.00 for a 40.00 ticket. Please check into this error and make the necessary changes as soon as possible. I hope that the 3rd receipt does not show up on my credit card. I have been contacted about 2 outstanding parking tickets. I have spoken with the collection agency to inform them that those tickets were paid and I gave them the confirmation number that the tickets were never delinquent. The person I spoke with didn't update their system with the confirmation numbers in order to follow up with you (on March 21, 2012) and they called me again today. Narrow streets, posted no parking by City. S Mill Stone Ct, S Mill Stone Way. A few residents continually park their cars on the street, making driving difficult. Would like an occasional police car to come through and write tickets.
I did a search on Google and found the nature preserve that has my last name. I lived in Indiana until 1997. Had never known there was a nature preserve in Indiana with my name. Can you tell me who the preserve is named after? It would be interesting to see if I can trace my anscestry to the person the nature preserve is named after.
