I rode through on 4th heading west to east and encountered a fair amount of loose sand on the road surface. It is on 4th just east of Walnut. That was around 10:30am. I have not been back through to see if it is still on the roadway.

We work for IU Real Estate and we received a report from a staff member at our Commercial Building, Starbucks stating, "I wasn’t sure who to reach out to but I wanted to make someone aware just in case. While running trash outside to our trash bins in the alley, I came out right as what appeared to be an unhoused man threw his items on the ground and loudly said “Well I need to take a sh**.” He started removing his pants and went into the cut out just passed our alley side doors where there are two large dumpsters (I believe for the residents upstairs). I do apologize for anyone that has to handle this, but I wanted to make you aware in case there was a mess with any kind of human excrement there." Water quality has gotten extremely bad the last week. We (Starbucks store #02387) monitor our water filtration system regularly and normally need to change the filter every 3-4 months (filters are rated to last up to 6 months but they ask us to change them once they become "latte colored"). Saturday 6/28, we found that our water filter was nearly completely black despite being only 1 month old. We changed the filter on Sunday 6/29 and within 24 hours it had already turned "latte colored" (tan). By Tuesday 7/1, it had already turned a dark brown and we had our water filtration system contractor Icee come out and check over the system, run a refresh, and change all changeable parts. Today, Saturday 7/5, the filter is back to being a dark brown color. We are concerned about what is in the water coming through our system and for those around us consuming tap water.

Bike parking infrastructure at SW corner of Lincoln and Kirkwood was removed for sidewalk work and has not been put back. It’s the best parking rack in the city; please replace it.
There are bits of styrofoam all over the place
