Traffic headed south on Washington is no longer forced to stop. Street parking on the northwest corner of the intersection makes it dangerous for cross traffic to pull through the intersection on 6th. There are bound to be accidents.
I received a phone call today saying that the potholes I reported last week had been repaired. After inspecting the area at around noon I found this not to be the case. I suspect the person who evaluated the situation was noticing that some alley repair had been completed in the spring/summer at the street entrance however about ten to twenty yards up from the street entrance is where the problem area is. Old pavement has crumbled away and cars are bottoming out. To remind you of the location, this is the first alleyway on the south side of 6th street east of Adams. It is a very high traffic alley way due to the fact that there is off street parking for several apartments on Kirkwood behind my house (1221 W. 6th). If you follow the alley way around to the left (exiting on Pine Street) you will find many more problem spots. I hope these issues can be addressed soon before the really bad weather arrives. The intersection of 10th and N. Smith Road during peek traffic hours gets backed up for those coming from the south on N. Smith Road. Because of the long line of traffic, entrances to the Meadow Smith Apartments get blocked, and I'd imagine it makes things a bit more difficult for the gas station there as well. Has the city entertained the idea of making that a three way stop rather than only requiring traffic coming in from Smith Road to stop? The traffic levels seems to suggest a need for it. I could send in a photo next time I see a back up if you'd like.

Could the sidewalk here be improved to be ADA compliant? Thanks!
A few months ago (Beginning of September), I noticed spray paint graffiti on the front of the detached garage belonging to the house that I rent at 702 W. 13th St. My landlord asked that I file a report in addition to one that she filed (I believe for insurance purposes). Since this happened a little while ago, I'm happy to answer any follow up questions needed to file a report.
I'm with IU Grounds Dept. One of our employees reported a "crosswalk" sign down on Dunn St. close to entrance of IU football stadium, Gate 8. Go in by Gate 8 and look north in the ditch. Thanks Jill.
With the recent crime in the neighborhood, it would be nice to see regular police patrols in the evenings.
