Airport road snow plowing and salting-yesterday that is on feb 26 2013 Airport road had many accidents.All between 2:30and 3:30pm.snow started falling after noon but no salt truck or plower came on the road.Iwould like to know why ? I saw trucks after the snow stopped.I am writing this because it was very personal to our family.One car came right into side of our garage .you can see the picture on the Pantagraph.we live in this house for more than 10 years now.i noticed that snow trucks and powers give last priority to Airport road and the streets off the road. As you know there is Normal community high school on Raab road and most of the students and their parents and Unit5 buses use the Airport road.It should be your first priority to salt and plow Airport road as soon as snow starts to accumulate.Please see that you salt and plow before and during the end of the school that is 2:30 pm.I think those accidents could be avoided if your department monitored the condition of the road better.

This is a suggestion for the intersection where Range Rd and Pete Ellis Drive intersect 10th street. I would like to suggest that a “no right on red” sign be put up for traffic traveling west bound on 10th street. If I am heading south on Range Rd and want to turn (left) west onto 10th street I am required to stop well in advance of the intersection because the radius allowed for cars turning onto Range Rd from 10th street (right) is affected by the concrete wall on the northeast corner of the intersection. If I have a green light on Range Rd and I am turning left onto 10th and a car turns right on red from west bound 10th street onto Range Rd I could possibly have a head-on collision. The reason I mention this is because I have nearly been hit head-on twice in the past month. I don’t think cars turning onto Range Rd think about how much room they need to clear the turn and therefore need to cut into the Range Rd left turn lane. Cars who are traveling on Range Rd and are making a left turn aren’t expecting a car to turn into them from 10th street.

I would like to suggest increased reckless driving enforcement for stopping to drop off and pick up passengers on 3rd St, and College ave, and anywhere else really. I have seen and been involved several close calls from unexpected non-signaled stops for passengers in non-commercial vehicles not at intersections or waysides.

2308 cutter ct, in front of my house snow removal truck went by and left large clumps of now in front of my driveway, makeing it very difficult for me to get out of my driveway. please have them remove it.

In Bloomington, you can buy a rain barrel from Earth Care, the Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation District and others. Or, you can build your own! Download our step-by-step instructionshere (DOC 368.00 KB)." Unfortunately the link to the "Monroe County Soil & Water Conservation District" seems to go to a New York page! I doubt this is intentional? Please let me know. The 2013 fee schedule says $45 for a rain barrel, which I might be interested in if I can really pick one up in Bloomington IN. Thank you! Cayden lane Bloomington in. Is a gravel street with a business and Several houses on it. It is in dyer need of repair and matienance . The pot holes are very large and the surface is extremely uneven I know of three cars that have had to replace tires do to the depth of the pot holes. The gravel is all but gone and is a compleat mess for everyone on the lane. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated considering we, here on Cayden lane have not seen a city worker to care for this road in 3 years.
