Trash

Case Date:
1/13/2025

When we went to bring our trash and recycling bins back to the house this morning, the wheel was broken off of the recycling bin. Do we have to buy a replacement? If so, how much? Thank you!

Sidewalk Snow Removal

Case Date:
1/14/2025

Hi, Kudos to Parks and Rec for their excellent snow removal on the parking lot and some of the trails at the Rogers Family Park (Goat Farm) at High and Winslow! I truly appreciate being able to get my dog out for a walk there. However, if I walk to the park (instead of driving) the SIDEWALK leading into the park is literally a sheet of ice. Does the City need to remove snow/ice from sidewalks or just stores and property owners? This seems quite hypocritical and dangerous!

Street Snow Removal

Case Date:
1/14/2025

There is ice everywhere just put some salt down. I alr got rear ended once and there have been so many accidents bc of the ice. For a city that gets so much snow you would think there would be ice. Give me a bag of road salt and i’ll literally do it myself.

Recycling

Case Date:
1/15/2025

Regarding uReport #200160 I'm sorry. I reported earlier that we had a recycling cart with a broken wheel after Monday's pickup. There was some miscommunication between my husband and I regarding our damaged recycling bin. I understood him to say that the wheel was broken but in fact, it is the recycling cart that is damaged. I took a picture of the recycling cart this morning. Attached is a picture of the functioning wheel and the broken recycling cart. I apologize for my error in reporting incorrect information. City Performance

Case Date:
1/15/2025

Comments for Administration and City Council members: please note the Bloomington public response and feelings as executive orders from Braun come down at the federal level - it is against the core values and heart of this community. The future is remote and hybrid with emphasis on flexibility as workers are human not cattle. DEI is important in every capacity, not whatever Braun’s “innovation” plan is - that is a buzzword, not DEI. Please please please continue to actually think in a forward direction with all residents, equity, the environment, and future generations in mind. It seems the state is now going backwards; Bloomington needs to continue progressing in a positive and inclusive way. Residents hope to see a public response and show of action that does NOT align with Braun’s recent takeover. We look forward to continuing to participate in a community that does great work for ALL with workers who happily serve us. Thank you for your consideration of these comments and continued work for the actual citizens who make up the community.

See case #193315. Issue continues. Same tenant (male, dark skin, dark hair, dark eyes) almost hit bicyclist this morning driving the wrong way on a one-way street (Lincoln) after turning south from 12th Street.

Thanks for the reply, is there a real shelter for those people? Any way to keep the library healthy for others to use as a library?

Sidewalk Snow Removal

Case Date:
1/17/2025

Question: Who is responsible for removing snow from the sidewalk on W 17th the roundabout? The city or the owner of the warehouse? The sidewalk lies between the roundabout guardrails and 17th St. The snow is an impediment to walkers. No one seems to consider their responsibility. Please identify the responsible party for now and for the future. -----Sharon R, Crescent Bend Neighborhood Association & Walker
