The crosswalk light is automatically coming on, even if there are no pedestrians, causing traffic backups for people trying to turn west onto 45/46 that are facing north on Kinser Pike.
The northbound side of N Kinser Pike at the intersection with SR 45 could desperately use a dedicated right turn lane, as traffic often backs through multiple traffic light cycles. I already reached out to INDOT and they said that they don't have any funded projects on their end. BUT they would be willing to work with the city if we wanted to take the initiative. Folks frequently use the shoulder here as a makeshift turn lane but it is full of potholes and not well-suited for this purpose. A dedicated turn lane would greatly help improve throughput during busy times when the light is very short. There is ample room to expand, and it appears that the lots already belong to DOT and the Indiana DNR. Resolution: Thank you for contacting the Indiana Department of Transportation. Our Traffic Investigations Engineer has reported a turn lane would require widening with full-depth pavement and utility relocation. INDOT does not have any funded projects to construct a right turn lane at this location. If the City would like to pursue the addition of a turn lane on Kinser Pk, they can work with INDOT Permits. The city never cleared the snow from the bicycle lane after the January storm. As a direct consequence, the melting piles of snow left mounds of debris when they melted – similar to glacial till. Please clear the debris from the bicycle lanes on N. College Avenue and N. Walnut Street, which has been there for nearly 3 weeks now.

2 dead deers in the 1700/1800 block of W.Allen St. on the county side of the street.
there is a car parked on the street near our house overnight and all day that does not appear to have a neighborhood sticker. It has been there a few days.
Street needs to be plowed
No one ca get their cars out nor even leave the parking lot. Street is also poorly plowed. Didn’t know if this was an apartment problem or city. So hopefully this can get solved
Hi my name is Micah vessely I am a student athlete here at IU playing baseball. I recently signed a lease at Vivo living which is managed by granite student living. I went to granite and grabbed everything I needed from them to go check out my apartment before moving in to make sure it was cleaned and ready to move in. I walked into the building and was immediately disgusted by the smell of smoke and the amount of bugs that were in the entry of the place. That led me to thinking about my room and how that would look if the entry was bad with bugs. I then go up to my room at 217 and walked in and the bugs were all over the place. There was probably 100+ bugs in that room alone. They were both alive and dead. I was ready to throw up when I saw that. Nobody wants to live in a place that is full of bugs it’s disgusting and makes you not want to stay there. So I reported it to the maintenance of Granite and to the management of them as well. They claim they reconditioned the place after the last person moved out which was on 7-14-25. That is a lie because when I talked to the manger at granite, she said nobody has been into that unit to do anything to it. This place was a dump and not what they said I was getting in the pictures and the lease. I paid 299 dollars in fees to have the place reconditioned and it feels as if I just got scammed out of that money. I then asked to be moved to a different unit and they were willing to do that for me which was nice, but I went to the unit they moved me to which was 329 and it was the same situation. The bugs were everywhere and the smell of smoke was just as bad. This is not a place anybody should be living in and I am requesting and inspection to be done in hopes of not having to live in a place that will put my health at risk. As a student athlete, I need to be healthy to participate in schooling and sports to perform at my best and this place feels like I will not be able to prioritize that. I have plenty of evidence of the bugs in each room 217 and 329 and signs of no smoking at or in the building. I need an inspection so I can get out of this disgusting place! Thank you!
