I just want to thank you for your prompt care at the Highland Village Park today. Just this morning I submitted a request about a hornet's nest in the park that I was afraid jeopardized the children, as it was right next to the playground. I just went over to the park this evening and saw that the nest had been removed. Thank you!! Great job!
I wasn't sure where to submit this complaint, but many tenants of the apartment complex town and country apartments, on Kingston drive in Bloomington are very unhappy with how everything is being run, and feel that financially they are being robbed. The property manager is not properly taking care of the five properties in Bloomington that he is supposed to and unfairly and unjustly charging outrageous amounts to tenants who are working hard to pay rent. For instance, I have a lease stating that my rent is $678 a month for a two bedroom. The property manager is now stating I owe $750 a month and an extra $300-400 on a damage deposit. There are problems with mold, and asking for repairs takes time, as he only has one man to repair any damages, leaks or other problems for all five properties. I was asked by many other tenants to help write a statement to anyone who would listen. He has turned a once great property into a now section 8 apartment complex, with all the cash paying tenants being overcharged. I wondered if a City Engineer could take a look at the wall in my backyard. It is a retainer wall for Henderson. It is showing signs of buckling. I think it might be a safety issue.

No Walnut St @ 12th and under the railroad bridge: Weeds are extremely overgrown and it's nearly impossible to walk on the sidewalk. This area is ALWAYS overlooked (snow in winter is treacherous!). There are many people who walk this stretch daily to get to the CVS store at 14th and Walnut. It's already a dangerous stretch as cars fly down that hill beginning at 11th St. Add to the mix, the 'trolls' (aka: homeless people) who 'live' under the bridge at times until the area is saturated with a strong urine stench. With all the traffic passing by this location daily, why can't this be better cared for - instead of an eyesore?!
North Union and East 10th St traffic signal does not work properly causing major traffic backups to east bound vehicles traveling on 10th street. I was curious as to when this will be fixed. In fact I have several questions regarding the traffic signals along 10th st including Jordan Ave, N Woodlawn Ave, and Indiana Ave.
