The spruce trees along the perimeter path need some maintenance---weeds like Spanish needles and even saplings are growing up under and around them. Especially the two on the north side below the tennis courts. (Question: I assume you have maintenance schedules for all the Parks---daily, weekly, seasonal, yearly? If so, I'd suggest adding those spruce to the once a year list.

We have a safety issue at Zikes Rd., south. At the top of Zikes Road we have many families with young children who play out in the yards and ride their bikes. We have a speeding problem Zikes Road. This needs addressed. People come up the road going north at high rates of speed. I would hate to see a child get hurt or killed. This is an ongoing problem. We need speed bumps here on Zikes Road.

All four of the overhead crosswalk lights are out are the intersection of Kirkwood and N Washington. This intersection is very dark because of this. Please repair these. Duke Energy does not have these lights listed on their map, which is why I’m writing you to get these repaired. Thanks.

Follow-up on case #205921 Response: Caden Swanson commented on this case. CBU Eng investigated this on 9/26/2025 and found this to be from the storm system originating from the sloped area near the pool.  No action needed. Question: In the photo with thise new case # (the left half of the photo i sent with the original case) there is a access ("manhole") cover much closer to the central path. Is that a cover opening to a storm drain that somehow connects ground water with the white PCP pipe draining in to the Creek? Thanks in advance. Caden Swanson commented on this case. Ever since the city stopped picking up leaves there has been a sign ‘No leaf pickup this year’ in the grass at the corner of Covenanter and Ruby. It is overgrown by grass and weeds. It suggests that no one mows there. Can the sign be removed by the Sanitation Department?

Congrats on the Bryan Park Arboretum designation. A suggestion: a guide to all the trees, accessible by QR code to Park visitors. (Assuming you don't plan on physical IDs like the ones in IU's Arboretum). Perhaps include the trees along Sheridan Creek between Woodlawn and Highland(?). Would be a great educational resource. Some years you had a tree identification activity (submit IDs, get a certificate), intended for kids, but I enjoyed doing it.
