I live near the intersection of Arden and High. I have personally witnessed several cars blow through the 4-way stop without stopping or slowing down. There are a lot of children in this neighborhood, including many who walk to Child's school. Please consider some sort of traffic warning/calming/etc at this intersection. Thanks, Sarah Schmiechen

When is this city going to clean up all the passed out junkies littering our streets? I can't even shop in my own fucking city anymore. Last night I went downtown to eat dinner and I'm the span of 4 blocks I was harassed for change multiple times, someone threatened to steal my sunglasses, and a man was shitting in a trash can wiping his ass with his bare hands right outside town hall. Seriously when are you going to wake up and do your job. I've lived in major metro areas and have never seen anything close to this. People openly smoking crack, nodding off on heroin this is a fucking mess and someone is going to end up getting hurt or worse.
I live at 1009 S. Lincoln St., and running in a perpendicular line to the street from our water access, at the house edge of the sidewalk, there's a big hole. It seems to go below the sidewalk a little. I'm not sure if I should just fill it in, or if it is indicative of a larger problem that should be addressed. I'd love a little guidance from the experts! Police non performance of duty. Found cat in hot car over 100 degrees. When owner came out after 30 min. police did nothing! Gave the cat back to this idiot and drove away. This is appalling!
Spring has started and the outdoor smoke coming from the Barbecue is in full force at the Short Stop food-mart on North Smith Road. My wife and I had three meetings with the City Council about this issue in 2015. And 2 recorded meetings with the council as a whole and a second meeting a few weeks later. The smoke issue was to be addressed for this location. But Chris Smith sold the store without implementing the standards the City Council had requested he perform. He was supposed to install and indoor smoker by December of (2015) that never happened. And he then sold the business in spring of 2016. As an example of how bad this smoke is. I hung wet laundry outside yesterday (Wednesday 4-25-18). Hoping for that nice fresh air smell when it was dry. Our clothing smelled like we had been next to a campfire. So I had to rewash all of the clothing. This has become a HUMAN HEALTH hazard and it has not been taken seriously. The city did nothing after our meetings to address SMOKE issues from cooking outdoors. I really hate to call the Fire department each time I smell smoke. As the cost to the city will be ridiculous for putting out (3) outdoor smokers. But that is what I am going to start doing. As we cannot breath. She had a lung removed and everyone is turning a blind eye towards this fact. Let me know what the city can do. Our district representative Allison Chopra was at the meetings as she was running for office and won the election. But I was told she had slept since the meetings and did not remember the restrictions placed on the smoke issue. Last week my grandmother, Linda Gast, was walking near the Crescent Park Condos on John Hinkle Place across from the post office. She tripped on uneven sidewalk and fell and broke her arm. This break required an ED visit and surgery that included a metal plate and several screws. This sidewalk is near Bell Trace, where she lives, and a lot of older people are using the sidewalks in this area. We would really like to see some attention given to this sidewalk in order to prevent others from being injured.
I discovered that AEG had drilled through my sewer tile after calling plumbers several times to fix sewer blockages. On April 9, 2024, I contacted Eddie Helmondollar and his supervisor Dave Craig (cc:ed above) with pictures of the damage and a copy of the invoice I paid to the plumbing company ($2250). Dave says that he has repeatedly contacted Accounts Payable to check on the status of my claim. But despite my regular requests for help, I have not received any assurance the claim is being processed or when to expect the reimbursement. It is now July—3 months since I alerted AEG to the problem. Please assist me with this request. Thank you for any help you can provide. There are several spots along the Rail Trail (dirt/gravel section of the B-Line) where dirt has been dug up across the full width of the trail to build impromptu bike jumps. This has resulted is trip hazards and an uneven trail surface. I counted 2 spots where his had occurred during my visit yesterday. Can someone review and hopefully correct this please?
