I called customer service for City of Bloomington utilities. The first lady I spoke with would not take herself off speaker phone dispite the inhibiting amount of feedback. The 2nd lady I spoke with was unhelpful and did her best to transfer my call away without helping me. I would consider both of the reps behavior to be very rude.
I live at 1602 South Renwick Blvd. The house north of me on the corner of Cathcart and Renwick Blvd is mostly finished from the outside. The yard is overgrown with tall weeds. Nothing has been done since everything began to grow in the spring. The vacant lots are kept mowed. There is also significant silt runoff into the street drains. There are pile of red mud that are being washed down the sewer drains in rivers every time it rains.
The city blocked some section of the road off (presumably to slow traffic). Now there is just yard waste and old hay bails left in them. It looks trashy.
A residential Parking Sign is improperly inserted into the ground causing it to be slanted at a 30 degree angle. This is almost blocking my driveway and causing the roof of my car to scratch it. Can you please re-dig this sign in the ground so that it's' straight? The sign itself is not damaged, it's just not properly inserted into the ground. Thanks. Kent Rerko 910 S. Manor Rd. You all changed the path and direction of northbound traffic at the roundabout at Sare and Rogers. As a result, traffic is backed up each morning and people are almost running into each other. Why the change? After all this time you just decide to change it? Really...? Another poor decision with regard to streets and traffic. It only makes morning commutes more difficult and unsafe. I can only image how congested this will make school bus traffic later this summer. You cannot fill in a pothole or repave a road, but you can change traffic markings on a roundabout after five (5) or six (6) years...?
