The walking path along South Rogers has not been cleared of snow at all. Between Patterson and Country Club. I know this is a major snow event and understand you are swamped, but this is a busy road and people cannot be walking in the street. Thank you.
A plow just came down Olde Mill Drive (10:40 am) and was unable to push the snow to either side of the street to clear the snow from the culdesac. Disappointing to say the least, it is now more of a problem to exit our property. Again larger plows are basically worthless in this area the amount of snow in the lower middle section of the cul'de'sac is blocking exit. Yesterday, I spent hours clearing the snow from around our mailbox, and shoveling a path out into the street to allow for exit from our driveway, the recent work by the plow in the street did nothing but compound the problem! Again a smaller blade plow is needed to push the snow in the street to one side of the street or another! I realize this is a significant winter storm event, but the need for better removal of snow from the street is needed. Arnold Wells 2209 S Olde Mill Drive Bloomington, IN 47401
For the second time this winter, the City has neglected to clear the hilly curving streets in Blue Ridge. I have lived in this home for 29 years and this is the first time I have seen such neglect. These roads are treacherous. Please, send a plow this way.
Olde Mill Drive is a culdesac. I contacted u report on Monday and received a reply concerning snow removal. I have cleared my drive and shoveled around our mailbox and into the street so that we might be able to exit our drive to travel to the store for needed food supplies and medical prescriptions. We understand that critical roadways have to be cleared as a priority, but in order to safely exit our property the amount of snow in the street is restricting exit. In the past a smaller vehicle was used to at least push the snow to the side or off the street because the larger plow could not perform in this tight area ( the vehicle was a pickup truck with a snow blade attached). We understand that this type vehicle may no longer be in the city inventory, therefore perhaps an application of salt could be used to help knock down the remining snow mounds in our street. We need assistance in resolving this issue as soon as possible, so we can safely exit our property. Again, we wish to Thank the City Crews for all their work and understand this is and continues to be a significant winter event and respectfully request attention to this matter. There was a pass over plow at the apartment complex. This has lead to cars being completely blocked in by packs of snow because the snow was not moved to one area. Resident received an email on Monday stating the streets would be plowed again and the sidewalks would be shoveled the next day. And only emergency vehicles were allowed to enter the complex. However, none of these things happened. Despite the staff and facilities living on premise and being at work in their offices. They essentially sent out an email stating everyone is trapped in their apartments and have not done anything since then. I understand this probably more of an apartment complex issue, but they are not listening to complaints from people. If you travel to Basswood to see the dangerous conditions, or call them, I'm sure that would be enough for them to take action.
Sidewalk in front of Regency Court is completely covered in snow.
Sidewalks are completely unshoveled and impossible to navigate.
Snow not removed from sidewalks on most of this block.
The street is not being plowed yet the residents are paying taxes for street maintenance. Cars a getting stuck. Regardless of any ongoing issues with the builder, public safety is the responsibility of the city and the street must be maintained.
