Excessive Growth
1508 W 11th ST

This report is in reference to serious overgrowth on a City right-of-way on the corner of N. Oolitic St. and W. 11th St. The property that this right-of-way is connected to is 1508 W. 11th St. The owner of this property is/was Joseph E. Day. However, he is recently deceased. At this time, the property is in the process of repossession by BB&T Bank. I know that in usual circumstances, Joe may have been responsible for the care of this area. However as I stated, he is now deceased. I have been trying to contact BB&T Bank - I actually may have an interest in purchase of the property since I own the vacant adjoining lots - but have gotten absolutely no response. In the mean time, the overgrowth on the City right-of-way that is on the west edge of his property is growing out into Oolitic St, has grown to the point of obscuring the speed limit sign, and is covering a fire hydrant. I am hoping that, given the circumstances, the City could come and mow/cut/clear that area. The main backyard is inside a fence, but this small section along Oolitic St has been left outside the fence.
Thank you,
Anthony Eller

I was attacked by a goose while biking on the new Tapp Rd trail. It was pretty vicious and knocked me over. I broke my ankle and will likely need surgery. These geese are aggressive and are likely to also hurt others

Asking if you could look at the timing of the light at Patterson and Adams. I drive home from work between midnight and 2, heading northwest on Patterson toward 3rd, and the light is changing to red just seconds after the light at 2nd street turns green. With so little cross traffic that time of day, I'm wondering why it just doesn't trip on demand anymore like it used to?

I live directly next to the Landscaping Services Building roughly by 10th Street & Jefferson. The level of noise they make at 4:30-5:30AM is unacceptable. I implore the city to please contact Landscaping Services (affiliated with IU-Bloomington) to push their hours back to 7-8AM. It is a total disturbance to my neighbors and me. Banging metal, trucks beeping as they back up, loud engines, car lights that shine into our homes & other community disturbances. I expect a response from the city on this major quality of life issue. Thank you so much for your time. I enjoy living here in Bloomington in every other regard besides this matter. Thank you!

Downed trees are restricting the flow of stormwater runoff through the ditch, close to where it intersects the B Line Trail. This is causing the adjacent lot to flood during periods of heavy rain.

There is a large trailer with someone living in it parked on Maple Street just North of 8th Street. It is taking up at least two parking spaces and they are using large chunks of limestone to keep it from rolling downhill. It has an extension cord going all the way across Maple Street plugged into a home. It has been parked there for at least three weeks.

In FYI about water meter on Fess north of 4th Street. When I stepped on the concrete around the meter, it all levered up. I think the gap is visible in the photo.
Utilities checked area on Fess N. of Second- found no problem with meter pits- did see an open hole in tree plot marked in white.Does not appear to be utility related.

Hi, There is a large old travel trailer parked on Maple Street, between 8th and 9th Streets. It has been there for at least a month. There is an electric cord stretched across Maple from the house across the street that has been connected for at least the past week. It appears that the owner is "camping" on a public street. The trailer is an eye-sore, is not mounted on stable footings, and is taking up several parking spaces for the neighborhood. The location and size of the trailer make it difficult to see around the corner when approaching the intersection. Is living in a trailer on a public street allowed? Thanks for looking into this.
