We've been waiting almost 10 years for you to replace the "Claybridge Dr." street sign on the SW corner of Claybridge Dr. and Canada Dr. The street post has been empty for ages.
When making a right turn into Winslow Sports Complex from South Highland Avenue, there is a large fir tree right on the corner. This tree blocks any view of pedestrians or bikers on the sidewalk directly behind the tree. This is a problem mainly for turning right rather than turning left into the area. I have personally had several incidents where we are turning into the area from the road and have had to stop unexpectedly to allow pedestrians to walk by. Although there is a small "caution" sign post there, it seems inadequate and unsafe regardless. My proposal is to cut down this large fir tree in order to create a safer environment for both drivers and pedestrians at this well-frequented corner.
There is a big piece of steel rebar sticking out of the sidewalk near the eastern entrance to 2427 E 2nd Street. It's become a safety issue for cars and pedestrian as many kids walk through there to get to the elementary school. Unsure if since it's an IU office if it's IU property? To: Office of the Mayor These scooters (see image) are parked in spaces where my residents need to park for several days now. I already moved them closer to the street several times. This location does not have a walkway (307 19th Street), they should not be parked in private property. I called the police, but they have suggested to open a complaint in your office. Sunk in area on edge of road on east 10th street headed east between Woodbridge post office and smith road. Appears to have been patched but in bad shape- difficult to avoid hitting.
There is a large pothole on S Rogers just past Clear Creek post office by RCV Roofing. It is going to cause damage to someone’s car or tire. Thank You, Emily Cook
The street sign next to the bus line on the corner of W. Heritage Way is almost knocked over. The street sign is leaning so far over you can't see it driving by. The sign was like this after the bad weather this winter. The sign post that needs to be straightened is W. Heritage Way (Bloomington, 47403)
My office is at 804 N. College. There is an alleyway just south of the office that runs from College to Walnut, and there is an alleyway that runs from 11th St. and dead ends on the Walnut to College alley, just behind my office and where the parking lot is. I usually use the alley off 11th to get to my office and also to leave, because it is much safer than trying to get out on College. There is a huge (and I mean really, really huge) "pothole," which I think is a big hole left by some construction crew (there are student apartments off that 11th St. alley) that really needs to be addressed. I hope you can send someone out to look at it, and get it fixed.
Hi! I am concerned that the fencing going up around the dog park areas of the Switchyard Park has not been done right. The soil has not been backfilled around the post bases, and the fencing and sod are being finished anyway, leaving extremely large gaps under the fencing--large enough for my 40-lb beagle mix to fit under, as well as many other dogs. Just wanted to make sure those in charge know. I know it is a very large-scale project with many details to keep up with, but it seems much easier and more cost-effective for it to be fixed sooner (while dirt and equipment are still on site) than later (when the park is completely finished and people start losing their dogs under the fence). Thank you for your attention on this matter! Otherwise I am so excited about the park and it is looking great!
Park Ridge East Park is VERY dark at night. And recently has had some night activity making the area feel unsafe. Several residents have mentioned it. Can we PLEASE get a solar LED post or two along the path or a pole light somewhere to add even just a bit of night light there. Thank you.
