Large Pothole busted my time. Location is around 5400 block of South Rodgers street, south bound lane before you get to , clear creek christian church. Very dangerous, large and deep.
Water pressure has dropped to less than 1/2 normal.
Lots of potholes throughout Hyde Park on Winston St, Olcott Blvd, Brigs Bend, etc.
Thanks for your gracious response last year when I inquired about this problem. You told me to contact you if it persisted, and it has. The entire street drains from hilltops at the north & south ends of Blue Ridge Court, and accumulates mud and run-off debris right at the same spot on the sidewalk (as you saw last year. There is a rainwater drainage ditch and large drain between our yard and our neighbors. During the last few heavy rainstorms, the drain at the end of the ditch stopped draining water, resulting in flooding our yard as well as our neighbors to the south and east. The flooding was at least 3-4 feet deep and spilled into the swale at the side of our house, coming close to our basement windows. We do not know if the drain was backed up, clogged with debris or what happened. However, upon checking the drain today with a landscaper, the drain is filled with water almost to the top....and we have not had recent heavy rain in the last few days. Could someone come to check the drain to see if it needs to be opened / cleaned out or if there is some sort of shut-off valve inside that is not operating and allowing water to drain? I am concerned if we get another heavy downpour that water already standing in this drain will result in major flooding again. We have called the street department about this issue twice, and I understand there is some history with drainage problems in this area of Hyde Park.

I'd like to report a man-made pothole on the westbound side of Tapp Rd just after you pass through the intersection of Rockport/Tapp. This intersection is brand new and there is a manhole that is installed 2-3 inches below the street surface. The road has a curvature but the manhole is countersunk flat creating a man-made pothole. It wouldn't be so bad except it is in the direct line of tire travel coming out of the intersection. and if you swerve to miss it you're perfectly set up to hit the next manhole, which isn't as bad, but still this is a brand new intersection. I have also observed multiple people swerving into the oncoming lanes turning lane to miss this manhole which creates a whole other hazard. Please have someone fix this issue. With today's low profile tires I'm sure it's already wiped out a few rims.
The bus stop sign along S. Sare Road at E. Buttonwood Lane has apparently been hit by a car at some point in the past and it’s leaning slightly back. Can it be pulled upright or replaced? I tried pulling on it myself, but couldn’t get it straight up. Thanks for your help!
A tree limb/foliage blocks the line of sight just north of S. Spicewood Lane @ busy S. Sare Road. Exiting S. Spicewood Lane onto Sare (turning north) is precarious. Also, yesterday the "Tree Work" orange sign just south of this intersection blocked the view from S. Spicewood Lane. This tree (and temporary sign) are unsafe for drivers, cyclists and pedestrians in order to exit S. Spicewood Ln. Also, the new Pedestrian Crossing sign is blocked on the approach up the hill from the north on S. Sare.
