Abandoned Vehicle
1701 E 2nd ST
- Case Date:
- 5/21/2019
Saturn ( possible auction vehicle ) was dropped in our parking lot at 1701 East Second Street, United Presbyterian Church, several months ago. We put a notice under the windshield twice for the owner to contact the office about the vehicle. No one has contacted us. As the picture illustrates, the car isn't fully in the parking space, causing a hazard when people try to exit our parking lot. We must assume the vehicle is abandoned as no one has moved it in over 3 months and no one will contact us about it. There are numbers on the windshield that might be from an auction.

This house is a few down from my house, and from my yard you can smell it. The house between us has a really bad cat overpopulation and you can see them all coming and going from this house. In the two years I’ve lived here, I’ve only seen animals come and go. I can’t imagine anything inside is worth saving. I worry with each bout of bad weather that this house will be blown onto our own. I also wonder what kind of disease and bacteria is being carried out of this house by the various wildlife that come to visit. Please come check this house out to see if it can be torn down. Our family would really appreciate it!

Railroad crossing on Fountain Drive and Adam's Street has caused my car severe damage on two of my wheels. First wheel a chunk of metal caused me a flat. Second tire nearly came off after crossing the crossing.
This crossing is in very poor condition and is causing problems with other people who are crossing the same rail road crossing. The holes are too deep to cross in certain spots. Few times we had to either cross more to the side of the road or cross into the opposite lane of on coming traffic to get by.

The railroad crossing on Fountain Drive (about 600 feet northwest of the intersection with N. Adams Street) is absolutely horrible. I and many others ride bicycles through the area and this railroad crossing is getting downright dangerous on a bicycle and even for cars. The railroad ties are deteriorating, leaving big holes that can easily take a cyclist down. Is this something the City can fix or coordinate with the railroad to fix?
