I wanted to bring something to your attention. The new light at Rockport & Tapp is nice, but was not the most cyclist friendly yesterday (Sunday, 11/25/2018) morning. I came in and out of town on a group ride via Rockport. We were only four cyclists, so not a big group. In both directions, the light took quite a while to turn for us (with no other traffic around). Then, once we got the green light, it already turned yellow before we were 1/3 of the way (or maybe 1/2 way) into the intersection. A very short light. As a group, we basically communicated, "Green, let's go - hurry up, yellow already!" My concern is a cyclist trying to get through that light, and it turns green for east/west traffic on Tapp before the cyclist can even clear half of the intersection. (Which, with the heavy fog yesterday and the crest of a hill to the west on Tapp, we were concerned). I told my mother about the timing of the light and she said on Saturday she was the third car at a red light on Rockport and the light turned yellow before she could get through the intersection. Maybe the City is still fine tuning things . . .

The attached photo shows the detour for the B-Line Trail (closed for Switchyard construction) around 11am today. I had to carry my bike across the void. I am concerned that someone with accessibility issues who cannot lift their bike, or is in a wheelchair, would not be able to get by. The sidewalk on the opposite side of the road is closed as well. This is the west side of Rogers just north of the Rockport intersection. I do not see how this is allowed to happen.

This Lime Scooter was blocking the handicap accessible ramp on the north side of the law school. In the area of 4th and Indiana. I moved it because this was a serious problem that I could not leave as is. 9:30am. Scooter is nearby still. Hopefully some enforcement action can be taken.

The Royal Toyota South car lot has a loud speaker that projects its phone ringing for the whole world to hear. I am more than 1,800 feet away from the car lot, through the woods, and can hear the phone ring while in my house listening to music. Between 3:45pm and 4pm today, it rang 12 times. I've read the applicable section of the municipal code, 14.09.030(c)(4). The language that I find applies is, "the sound produced persists . . . intermittently for a period of at least fifteen minutes and can be heard outside of the immediate premises from the location." I have reported this noise violation multiple times with no resolution. Is the solution that I call the police every time the car lot is a nuisance? I do not want to waste the police's limited resources on something that should be easily resolved administratively by the city government (and with technology; can the car lot get a cell phone, a pager, an answering machine, something?). uReport Case #166220 did get referred to the police, who referred the case to city legal in January of 2019. The phone has continued to ring since that time. Can we finally get this issue resolved and bring some peace and quiet to the south side from this incessant noise violation from the car lot? I've recently noticed the Rail Trail between Country Club Drive and Gordon Pike has sections of large gravel (see attached photo). I appreciate that maintenance is being done, assuming the City is responsible for this work. But, I am concerned because this large gravel is inconsistent with the existing surface for the trail. As a bike commuter and runner on this section of the trail, I was disappointed to see large gravel appear on the surface. The Rail Trail is a great surface to run and walk on and commute on. These patches of large gravel pieces diminish it's utility and enjoyment. Are there plans to use large gravel more often on the trail? I request that the smaller, packed surface be maintained. A pot hole has developed and is growing on Woodlawn Avenue near Bryan Park. The hole is right where a cyclist would be riding, down hill as well. It is on Woodlawn just south of the Bryan Park parking lot and just north of Weatherstone, on the east side of Woodlawn's road surface.

The light at the corner of Southdowns and Woodlawn cycles on and off throughout the night. The light is on the corner by the parking lot on the east side of Woodlawn and the southside of Southdowns. This is an interesting intersection with double pedestrian paths, three roads, and a creek. The light keeps going on and off, and when it is off the intersection is very dark. I have observed this for a few nights in a row now.
