I have had sewage come up through our bath on our basement level 3 times in the past 7 months. It’s quite disgusting, and I can share pictures of this is you would like to see what this looks like. I have had HFI run a camera through all of my drains and I watched the video as they were doing this. There were no blockages at all; all the pipes were clear. The camera followed the drains all the way to the city sewer (5999 on the map). I have also spoken to a neighbor two doors down at 3212 S Abby Lane who has had the same thing occur multiple times. She has contacted the City too and they found a grease blockage which apparently was cleared. However, she said that there was back into her basement two weeks after that. After spending thousands with HFI and other plumbers, and out of frustration, she has purchased her own drain camera and equipment to clear out the drain should that occur again. Since this seems to be a recurring problem on the Abby Lane side of Bentley Court, here is my question: Is it possible to have the sewer/drain system that services Bentley Court checked for blockages or waste build-up? When last was this done? What drain systems from other neighborhoods feed into this system? The sewage has to come from somewhere. We really want to get to the bottom of this. Would you please help me? I cannot have my family live on the basement level when this type of thing keeps occurring. Thanks so much and I look forward to hearing from you.

The hill on East Moore's going up from Sare Rd to Andrew Circle becomes a full on river when it rains, and a bobsled track when that rain freezes. It's very dangerous.

Dear Madam/Sir, I am writing to report an issue concerning the curb and storm drain located at the southern end of Stratford Dr, in front of our residence (3020 S Stratford Dr, Bloomington IN, 47401). The curb is currently obstructed by leaves, twigs, and organic sediment (as shown in the attached photo), impeding effective drainage during rainfall. As a result, our front yard experiences flooding with every rain shower. We kindly request that the curb and its immediate surroundings be thoroughly cleaned to restore proper drainage functionality. Once this maintenance is completed, we are committed to maintaining the storm drain area to ensure its continued effectiveness. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Additional camp. There is a large dog which barks when hiking in the area. Campers in park area between clear creek and the rail trail. Campers are in flood plain, which is hazardous for them. Beacon has been contacted and is unable to reach out at this time. There is a noticeable decrease of people hiking this part of the park and a decrease in wild birds in the area.

The swale to the west side of our home overfilled as storm water was backed up at the street drains which then flooded the window well to our basement on June 18-19. Although our yard is regularly flooded during heavy storms, the west swale was designed and dug by the City to carry excess water to the street. We believe this swale needs to be dug deeper and lined with rock to stop erosion from occurring to prevent future flooding of our basement. Please send an engineer to evaluate. This problem has been reported several times.

Wet bottom retention pond damaged by beavers, dam eroded and may fail. Water pipe directed to the creek falls short of spilling into the creek by 15 feet and is eroding the bank and exposing 50% of fine-tree roots near the bank.
