Our recycling did not get picked up along with at least one other can on Jackson Street. Also this is the can that did get picked up blocking the alley next to my house where I park. I have observed trash pick up on Jackson Street for about 40 years. The cans were always put back where they were left for 39 years. But this year the cans are left in the street, blocking alleys and thrown down where they land. This in not considerate and it not how the trash has been handled in the past. It is not acceptable service. I have complained to Adam Wason to no avail. I really do not think this is too much to ask. The other end of the alley was also blocked by a trash can sitting right in the middle and people park on the alleys and use them for transportation. At least we can drive around the cans that are left in Jackson Street but the morning after trash day, it looks like a tornado has gone through and scattered cans everywhere. Is this what we should expect and accept from our city services these days? I hate to complain and I was waiting for this to get better but it has not improved at all....

There are 3-4 grocery carts full of what seems to be the belongings of an unhoused person that have been discarded at the end of Madison. They have been there untouched for 3 days now. The neighborhood would appreciate if they were removed soon. Thank you!

Old dirty mattress dumped on side of road and lots of debris and a shopping cart. All on a road leading to highland park school. If turning from 48, left onto park square drive going south, the trash and shopping cart are on left and right side of the road. Further south next to a reduced school speed limit sign is the old mattress on the right that sticks slightly out into the road.

Illegal dumpers dumped this twin mattress set in the alley adjacent to 1127 W. 6th Street. The dumping appeared during the late morning of Saturday 22nd, May. My neighbor and I both just missed seeing who did it within a 15 minute window. One city truck has passed it without picking it up so far. Please have them return and take care of this. I would have driven it to the city dump if I knew where to take it; and now my car is in shop again so I cannot.

This eyesore was reported twice per cases #178134 & 178189 and this debris has yet to be removed at the dead end of S Basswood Drive toward 3rd St. The second time I reported it, I observed 2 city workers there for about an hour leaning on their pickup truck staring at the debris, but staring at it didn’t remove it. I noted that one person suggested contacting the apartment complex near this area to remove it, but that complex provides dumpsters for their residents to dispose of mattresses during the move out periods. This debris is on city property pure and simple. I guess my next step is to go to the Herald-Times and show them pictures of this eyesore. If those 2 workers would have spent their time removing it instead of resting their arms on the bed of their pickup, it would be gone.
