A tree planted by the city a few years ago was damaged by the storm today, June 25 2023. A large branch has fallen, blocking the sidewalk. It is too large for us to move. The city will have to remove it and probably plant a new tree.
I am a Certified Arborist through the I.S.A. While inspecting trees for Dr. John Labbon today at 2736 E. Brig's Bend I noticed that the city Maple tree to the right of the driveway entrance has co-dominant leaders. The 2 leads are already splitting and the smaller lead will fall onto the city sidewalk where a person walked by while I was doing the tree inspection. Dr. Labbon would like the tree removed. The tree in front of this house, along the street needs to be trimmed back. Its limbs have grown over the sidewalk creating very poor sidewalk access. Thank you!
The trees between the houses on the street side of the sidewalk on rock creek in my neighborhood are super overgrown and low hanging. I’ve noticed some kids and elderly getting hit in the face with branches and having to duck. The city in the past has trimmed these low hanging branches but it was never done last year. Any chance we could get the low hanging branches on rock creek cut? It would make it a lot safer for our neighborhood kids who walk to school (and adults). To be clear, I’m talking about the city trees not residential trees. Thanks!
The trees along the street in front of the church need to be trimmed back. Limbs are blocking the sidewalk access all the way up to the top of the hill at the countryside street intersection. Thank you
Large pin oak tree has large horizontal limbs that are dead and overhangs a big traffic light and sidewalk. This poses a danger to the traffic light, to cars in the intersection, and to pedestrians on the sidewalk. Please remove these dead limbs as soon as possible. Thank you.
People walking north along the b line often walk along the left hand side of the bridge ramp to get to the Patterson sidewalk, might it be a good idea to pave this? There is a dirt path formed in the grass here.
Large pile of debris. Also invasives returning in force to strangle the pine tree and starting to block the sidewalk.
Street trees have low hanging branches that make it hard to walk on sidewalk on W Adams Hill as well as some of the trees on Countryside heading towards Rockport have low branches that don't allow clearance for walking.
The red maple tree (site id 30159?), along the street at 2320 E Woodbine Ave. is not healthy and is becoming a hazard. The top of the tree and many branches are dead. This evening (2/16/23) a large limb fell out of the tree and onto the sidewalk. I tried to attach a photo of the large limb, branches and debris on the sidewalk, but it keeps processing and won't go through. We have cleared the debris and limb from the sidewalk.
