Sidewalk on Montclair along Southeast park, as well as the trail running through the park still haven't been cleared of ice and snow. All the surrounding property owners were able to clear their sidewalks in a timely manner. I believe the city is responsible for the sidewalk along the park.
Hi, It seems there maybe miscommunication within the chain of command or not a 100% buy-in to "best practice" or a little of both. Report #181846 described a problem and its location. Unfortunately the problem has not been addressed in any way. However, it does look as though some one came through with a leaf blower and cleared the cypress leaves that had covered the trail further up towards Southeast park, next to tennis court entrance and wood post. I do very much appreciate that as the the pavement is very bumpy there in the corner and can cause loss of control of bike or scooter as well as trip walkers. I don't have construction experience but have used a shovel in the yard and that is probably all it would take. Just a shovel and one person to remove some soil blocking the current grade from working properly. If that isn't the solution how about adding a thin layer of pavement so runoff goes the other direction. I believe this was done on Renwick trail, there are patches of pavement here and there. The red maple tree (site id 30159?), along the street at 2320 E Woodbine Ave. is not healthy and is becoming a hazard. The top of the tree and many branches are dead. This evening (2/16/23) a large limb fell out of the tree and onto the sidewalk. I tried to attach a photo of the large limb, branches and debris on the sidewalk, but it keeps processing and won't go through. We have cleared the debris and limb from the sidewalk.
For The past 2 weeks only one bathroom is unlocked. And in the morning there's a line to get into the bathrooms. If there's two bathrooms they should both be available for use. A lot of pickleball players are here. People walking past the beeline and it seems strange that with two bathrooms you would lock one. They both should be available to the public at all times.

The right stair railing between the tube slide and shorter open slide came unattached frommy be structure at the top. We were able to get it back in for the time being but it needs a new screw or bracket
There are at least five camps of unhoused individuals along this stretch of trail. They are now clearing the land for firewood and also running generators. There is trash everywhere and almost daily screaming fights that are spilling over into the adjacent Broadview neighborhood, including an assault yesterday, 1/7 on Bryan. What's the long term plan here? The parcels on either side of the trail are owned by Autovest II LLC.
A full bag of trash was emptied along the south side B-Line this morning. This occurred on the west side of the trail between light posts 11-12 or so and is going directly into the creek. There have been bags and piles of trash left along the trail. If City employees are monitoring the trail for trash, please ensure they are diligently visiting the south end of the B-Line as it gets a lot of discarded waste. Additionally, the camp just south of the Switchyard Dog Park has basically become a landfill, currently inches deep in trash and waste.
Street trees have low hanging branches that make it hard to walk on sidewalk on W Adams Hill as well as some of the trees on Countryside heading towards Rockport have low branches that don't allow clearance for walking.
