Attn. Street Dept. Need trailhead caution yellow marking to delineate area for no parking so the path is not blocked by parked cars or scooters. Parking in this area occurs often and is a hazard to trail users as well as ADA compliance concern for wheelchair residents and park visitors. Thanks for your follow up.
Approximately 30 yards eastward from the stop sign at E Post Road and N Staats St, in the westbound lane of Post road, is a 12" wide by 33" long rectangular indentation originally dug by a contractor and then filled in. The fill has since subsided by one to two inches throughout. Hope it can be topped off to make a smoother street.
On N. Oolitic near 11th St there is a deep cut in the road where I assume utility work was done but the cut is dangerous as it will destroy a car. There is no sign to alert a car that it is there, and it needs to be filled in or a metal sheet needs to be placed over it until the complete repair can be done. I thought my tires were going to blow out yesterday when I drove over it and I drove very slowly over it because I was aware already that it was there. Please stop ignoring the road conditions around here (Lindbergh and Oolitic between 11th and 17th) and please fix them asap.
There is a massive trench across the full width of N Oolitic Drive. It has gotten terrible and I fear is a safety risk. It has been there since at least August 2023.
in the morning and in the afternoon when school is starting/ending one can spend more than 10 minutes making a left turn here. Today I had one car ahead of me attempting this who eventually turned right after 11 minutes, while at least 5 school buses trying to get to Tri-North and a large number of cards piled up behind me. A stop sign or a light that is programed for school hours would make it a lot easier and help keep everyone arrive on time. An additional challenge is that you have a lot of new drivers (HS) who don't always use their turn signals or don't know to stop before turning on to Prow Rd and allow for taking turns.
There is water leaking on the pedestrian path on the North side of the bypass just East of Fee/Matlock. I smell an odor of sewage when I pass through the wet spot on the path.
This “historic fieldstone sidewalk” is a TOTAL DISASTER to actually walk on. My teenage son walks, but has limited mobility and requires support to stay upright. This sidewalk was completely unsafe for him to use. We had to cross mid-block on Dunn (also not very safe) to a usable sidewalk on the west side of the street. This may be “historic” but it is NOT ADA compliant. Please make this sidewalk safe for all to use.
Heavy, metal sign support with three sandbags has been sitting on the sidewalk for weeks. It blocks wheelchairs and is hazardous at night. Please ask whatever department that left it there to remove it. Thank you.
Why has case# 177801 been closed? It has not been resolved. A metal rack for a street sign has been sitting out front of 425 N. Dunn for MONTHS accompanied by sandbags. Also, while you are picking that one up, there is another, LARGER sign and rack that is lying in the shrubs on the property of Plantation North, right across from 418 N. Grant. Hello! I work at WonderLab Science Museum. We were wondering what would be needed to improve a curb that is on the west side of our building in the front. It goes into an alley that school buses use. Bus drives have a very difficult time getting in without hitting the curb. This curb also has an accessibility ramp that does not line up with the rest of the side walk on 4th street going west (due to the entrance to the parking garage of the neighboring residence). The curb cut is currently closer to the alley way than on the corner of the sidewalk. We would like the ramp to moved to the corner of the curb for accessibility and bus movement. An oversized cut on that corner would be ideal. Thank you!
