Kirby Alley is tagged as a street in the City's GIS system and this appears to be a mistake. It shows up in the City's street centerline product published on the City's data portal. For planning, streets this close to downtown would have sidewalks, but alleys do not. This is also a traffic issue. Having this alley tagged as a street means that Google Maps (shown in image) and other software will give driving directions down the alley, which is usually not intended or desired for pass-through traffic.
The lot just west of the B Line parking lot on W Country Club Dr lets the grass grow without ever mowing it. It's not developed so I can understand why they don't want to mow it, but it is a very busy street and is extremely difficult to see vehicles approaching from the west when exiting if the grass has grown long, as it currently is. Can they be required to follow the grass length restrictions please.
There are multiple low-hanging trees on the south side of E Hagan Street that make the sidewalk difficult to pass. I believe these are city-maintained trees on the easement.
I have noticed that the area around the intersection of W First and Walnut is becoming more and more littered with trash and pieces of clothing. I wonder if Shalom Center could send out some of its clients with a big bag and gloves to pick up trash every morning. It would be a great improvement.
The northwest corner of Nancy Street and Hillside Drive is overgrown in the city's right of way. It is currently unsafe for any cars heading/and turning south on Nancy Street onto Hillside Drive. Please trim the trees and bushes for a safer intersection for pedestrians, drivers, and passengers. Thank you.
A citizen called to report a concern and wishes to remain anonymous. According to the caller, for two months there has been no construction on the bike path off of Sare Road. There are still signs saying 'sidewalk closed' as well as 'construction ahead' but it appears that the construction has stopped. Lastly, the Spicewood II sign had been taken down and since put back up but the citizen is disappointed there has been no landscaping done and the limestone around the sign was broken.
Grass and weeds in lawn. This man does not upkeep his property even though he is able-bodied
The road/sidewalk construction crew sprayed concrete on my car as I was driving down the street. I assume they were cleaning out the cement truck, but ended up spraying the hose as I drove by splattering my car with cement and rocks. I think it will all wipe off and not harden on the car, but I'm not exactly happy about it or having to clean it up.
