Blocked Street
1100 N Walnut ST
- Case Date:
- 9/2/2023
A construction sign is completely blocking the bicycle lane on a very busy street with speeding drivers. The sign was originally used to warn about road construction. But that construction was complete more than a week ago. All of the past week the lane has still been blocked. Why does the city not fine the contractor for this negligence?
The contractor also left a significant about of debris in the bicycle lane between the sign and 17th street. Why does this happen? Does the city really care about bicycle safety?

Walker Street and West third. Every year same problem. If the city owns a tree lot behind the sidewalks, can you clear them back this homeowner doesn’t care about safety. Oscar.

Paved surface changes soon after walking west on the Moore’s Pike sidewalk in front of Cedarhurst. The path narrows and is almost impassable due to plant overgrowth. This continues down to the big intersection of Moore’s Pike and College Mall/Sare Road.
The strips of land on either side of the walkway are overgrown and need mowing very badly. Who is responsible for that?

Potholes, Other Street Repair
748 N Oolitic DR
- Case Date:

On N. Oolitic near 11th St there is a deep cut in the road where I assume utility work was done but the cut is dangerous as it will destroy a car. There is no sign to alert a car that it is there, and it needs to be filled in or a metal sheet needs to be placed over it until the complete repair can be done. I thought my tires were going to blow out yesterday when I drove over it and I drove very slowly over it because I was aware already that it was there. Please stop ignoring the road conditions around here (Lindbergh and Oolitic between 11th and 17th) and please fix them asap.

My neighborhood is undergoing fiber installation. On 9/6 and 9/7, my yard housed a large tractor. Now that the install in complete, I am left with a yard that is partially destroyed by the utility contractor. The grass is gone, the yard is no longer level, there are multiple drill holes large, and there is a lengthy bulge from the cable plow.
Rather than leave my lawn in the same condition, the contractor laid hay and grass seed. This will not create a lawn being that it's fall and won't take, and it will not level my lawn.
I've tried to communicate with the workers but they do not understand me, as they are not English speakers. Who can I communicate my issues with?
