On the south side of Winslow at the west side of Piccadilly there has been progressive erosion where the drain pipe goes under Piccadilly. Whenever we get a strong rain for five or ten minutes the ditch backs up on the east side of Piccadilly and does not flow freely under the road. The erosion mentioned has noticeably progressed this year and if left unabated the road will eventually be at risk of breaking at its edge. Also, be aware that the heavy rains flood the east side ditch and form a pool over the sidewalk which also spills out onto Winslow. We can see this from our home. Sidewalk has settled over an inch below the street. Significant trip hazard. Crews are fixing sidewalk end caps the next block down and I was hoping this was included in that work scope. Thank you.

A tree of about 8 inches DBH and located about a foot from the curb on S. Highland Ave. has a lot of poison ivy on it. The poison ivy extends about 2 feet over the street, so is a danger to pedestrians and cyclists (there is no sidewalk on either side of this block of Highland). Furthermore, the ivy has several large clusters of green, immature seeds (see both photos). It is therefore imperative that all of this ivy be removed or killed soon, before the seeds mature and are spread by birds. The tree and poison ivy are located across the street (Highland) from a bright blue house (this is at the corner at E. Wylie and Highland). Thanks for taking care of this. Jeff Palmer

Over the past several months, the sidewalk in front of 1001 East 1st Street has gradually become almost completely blocked by trees and bushes encroaching from the yard. Yesterday, I was relieved to see someone *finally* trimming the bushes—but the work is completely inadequate. Half the sidewalk is still blocked, the bushes and trees still overhang the full sidewalk at a height low enough to force pedestrians to duck, and the trimmed branches have been left lying on the sidewalk. Please require the property owner (or owners—it's hard to tell where the property line is, and some of the problematic bushes and trees may be on the land belonging to the next house) to fully clear the sidewalk and haul away the resulting debris. It shouldn't be necessary to duck and fight one's way down the sidewalk, or to come away smeared in bird droppings.
