This South Carolina town has produced these very inexpensive masks and are handing them out for free. They are based on IU professor and Bloomington resident Jiangmei Wu's free origami design. We live on the only road in Sherwood Oaks that has no side walks for pedestrians to use for safety when walking/biking. The issue with this is we live on a main thoroughfare to Sherwood Oaks Park, Rodgers Park, Clear Creek Trail, Childs Elementary, and Jackson Creek Elementary. We need better signs, and speed reduction devices such as speed bumps to slow down traffic that speed through our area and are a hazard to all that walk to the above places including children. The refusal to make this street part of the park green way and safer is absolutely absurd. The past excuses from the city included that we are a dead end with no speeding tickets or wrecks, which is why the city has refused to take action in the past. Please do not wait for someone to get injured or die on this road before you make it safer for all that live and use it for recreation.

This house is abandoned and has been for at least the 8 years we've lived on the street. There is often excessive overgrowth and the backyard is literally growing INTO the structure of the home. It's a fire hazard and a danger to young children in the neighborhood. Recently, we tried to get our escaped cat from the backyard and I was absolutely stunned by the horrible conditions I saw in the rear of the home. Pests are likely breeding like crazy in the home - we've had two RATS killed by our cat in our yard this year. I've seen roaches on the driveway. It's awful! WHY can't the city do ANYTHING about this abandoned danger before something major happens?
I am concerned about the sewage line between East Dunstan and East Clairmont. After the melt last year, there was a major blockage causing my basement to be flooded with sewage.The level in my home sewage line has been visibly rising the last few days, and I’d like to ask to check for blockage in the sewage line between East Dunstan and East Clairmont.
The main sewage line north of my home is backing up (again). This is a recurring issue. The water/sewage level at the access hole has reached the level of the basement, and the basement toilet has started to back up. Please clean out the blockage in the main sewage. I am aware that you had crews there earlier this year to cut back roots, but something is blocking this sewage line now.
Pothole keeps growing.
I reported a road hole at the end of my driveway over a week ago but it still has not been filled. The ticket number for this was 179505 and was assigned to Dana Workman. I received an email indicating the problem had been resolved and was “closed.” It has not been resolved. The hole is getting bigger and creating a hazard that will cause damage to my tires.
