This property is a disaster.Neighbors realize the city is limited as to what it can enforce but these residents are allowing invasive weeds to grow all along the street which must be a violation of some code. On the rare occasion they do mow, they allow lawn clippings to pile up in the street and leave them there to blow away or go down the storm drain. Look in the drain, please. Their weeds need to be eradicated for the sake of all surrounding neighbors. I believe they have been repeatedly warned about not mowing. When they do mow, it is ONLY the area at the curb which we all assume is your only jurisdiction; however, their backyard is so over-grown it can't help but be a breeding ground for vermin. Seriously, please help the Blue Ridge neighborhood with all you can. It gets worse every year. Pics were taken but won't load.

Construction and deliveries blocking parts of 14-13th streets and Dunn. In one instance a semi trailer was blocking Dunn and there was just one guy with no sign *kinda* directing traffic.

I am a parent of a student living at Union Street Center Apartments. I have been observing this area for some time and feel there is a safety risk for pedestrians crossing from a parking lot to the Apartments. I have addressed this with the University and they said this had been passed on to Bloomington official and I never heard back from the city. They said its not their property and the City of Bloomington would need to address. I have tried emailing another official and again have not heard back. The issue is N. Union Street needs 2 Crosswalks at each end of the parking lot, with Yellow Flashing Warning Signs in each direction. In addition, the lighting is poor in that area, again increasing the risk at night. The Risk Analysis would show there is a high risk of Severity, Frequency, and Probability for an accident in this area. Cars traveling from 10th street to 3rd as a cut through are traveling down hill and pick momentum or speed. I would be happy to discuss this issue with anyone who will listen, so we all fully understand the issue.

This morning when I went out to gather up my carts I noticed that the bar that goes across the middle of the front of my small trash cart was only in one hole. The bar fell completely off completely as I pulled the cart up the driveway. I assume that bar is essential for emptying the cart. Do you have any advice about how I can get the bar to fit back in both holes? At the moment it’s in one hole and angled up at about a 30 degree angle, which doesn’t seem very useful. Just out of curiosity, what is the expected life-span of the carts? They are already starting to look beat up. My recycling cart has a piece missing on the corner of the lid. There is a large Tree of Heaven invasive species growing where the Uplift Pump is located just west of my address, 4325 E. Weymouth Lane in Parkridge East. I have tied yellow duck tapr around t to make it easier to see. Please remove this tree and any of its' off shoots as it is rather large now and will present a sidewalk safety issue. Thank you.
