Traffic Related Complaints

Please make South Dunn Street between Grimes and Hillside One-Way only, Northbound.
This is a very narrow street. Oftentimes, traffic travels through here at a high rate of speed.
If there is more than one car traveling on the street at a time in opposite directions, we frequently have to pull to the side into parking (if room) or one car has to either stop at an intersection to allow the car to pass, OR one of the cars have to back up into a parking space or another intersection to let another car pass.
PLEASE consider making my street a one-way street Northbound which would align with the only available parking spaces on the side of the street.
THANK YOU! :-)

I know that city officials, including the mayor and deputy mayor, often appear on WGCL. I hope one day they will ask the host why the station airs Dennis Prager. He is anti transgender people, thinks unvaccinated people are treated worse than people with AIDS, thinks that global warming saves lives and thinks that Democrats want to destroy the country. I would not want to be on the air right after him and I’m surprised the mayor and deputy mayor do.

There has been a dark green Chevy Trailblazer with an Illinois license plate that has been parked at a meter space for about a week now. It’s on the west side of Walnut street. It does have front end damage so it may not be operational? Would like the city to look into this.

Hi. The map location link on the Lion’s Den Shelter in Upper Cascades Park is incorrect. It navigates to somewhere in Martinsville. I have the correct Google Maps coordinates here (as I will be hosting a birthday party at the shelter in May): 39.2032964,-86.5395028 .
Unsafe Buildings
628 E University ST
- Case Date:

Chimney at 628 E University is dropping rocks on our property at 630 E University St (you have our permission to inspect our property which is east of 628). After numerous requests to the property managers to fix this issue since Fall of 2021, and multiple requests by the City for them to fix it (beginning in January of 2022), it is still in disrepair and dropping rock on our property. One incident of major concern is a rock hit our gas valve and broke it. Gas was leaking. Gas company had to fix. Rocks are landing by our windows at ground level. We are in fear of our dogs being hit and us being hit in our yard. Please help us with this matter. High winds and storms during this season is making this, to us, an urgent matter.

Fire Hazards
1261 S Adams ST
- Case Date:
- 4/1/2022
I believe it started night of Tues 3/29/22 or Wednesday 3/30/22. 1261 S Adams has a malfunctioning fire system. It will go off at random intervals for a couple minutes up to 15 minutes at a time at all hours. The building has been losing sleep and the apartment has failed to correct it as of 4/1/22 at 9:20pm. I've been trying to call the admin office of the fire dept all day with no luck. My concern is, is the fire system even working and what happens if there is a real fire. We have a questionable system the apartment complex cant give me an answer if its actually going to work in an emergency. I called their after hours maintenance guy last night and apparently he lives 30 minutes away. I do not feel this complex is on top of fire safety and is not putting the wellbeing of its residents first.
