I saw a single person in a black suv making an off-road track of some kind on Tuesday afternoon. Neighbors adjacent the park had wondered about the truck tracks in the grass, and I witnessed what has been happening. The guy left the parking space on W. 16th heading west and turned onto the grass parallel to the creek. Then he slowly drove up the hill, slipping and sliding in the mud back to the single parking spot. He repeated the same route, as if he were trying to make a 4-wheeler track. Very strange. I was staring at him from my garden at the corner. When he saw me stare, he left the parking spot and headed away toward Tri-North. I thought the park maintenance staff might want to know. Also, the little footbridge crossing the ditch was handy, but it was removed during creek/culvert repair.---Sharon Roualet, Crescent Bend Neighborhood Association

Hi, I live at the address pictured in the attached copy which is from the hard copy Parks brochure I just received. I access all the information I need from the website, so I would ask that you remove this mailing label from the list to save the cost of printing and postage. I called a couple years ago and had my name removed from this same mailing list for the above reasons. Now I am receiving one at my address to "Current Resident." I want to limit my recycling and it will save Parks money also.
Thanks

I have two questions.
1. Can you reassure me that there will be programming in Bryan Park this spring/summer? I was disappointed to see that 90% of the winter programming is in Switchyard Park. I understand that it is new and exciting and has a lot of amenities but I really hope the other parks don’t get overlooked.
2. To whom do I speak about getting permission to install a temporary poetry hike in Winslow Woods? I would like to install cardboard signs on wooden stakes at half a dozen spots along the trail with a nature short poem on each. My initial thought was to do it for the Bloomington Montessori School (which my child attends) but I’d be happy to promote it more widely and it would certainly be available to anyone. Thank you.

So icy and slippery right outside of upper park (little kid park) at Bryan prk. I saw an older man slip and almost fall and kids have slipped a few times. Thanks!

For the City arborist: there are two young trees growing side-by-side at the stop sign at 3rd and Fairview. One is a black walnut that I think should be cut down so the other one can grow to its full potential. They are so close it feels like they will just compete for space. We could have one very healthy street tree as opposed to two stunted ones. Thanks.

Would it be possible to turn this bench around so people can sit and watch the chickens, goats, and sheep that are part of the Boling Family Farm animals that are behind this bench on the Clear Creek Trail just past on the other side of Rockport Rd? Many people walk by here and enjoy watching the animals. It would be great for oldsters like me to be able to sit down on this bench and enjoy watching them. Thank you

Public defecation/feces is a common occurrence in the area near Seminary Park. Public restrooms need to be provided to prevent this public health hazard.

Duke Energy would like to remove the tree as it may obstruct powerline work. We were contacted at Olympus Properties for removal approval, however, given that the tree is on the street side of the sidewalk, we were not sure if this tree may actually fall under city property. Is this tree property of the city of Bloomington?
