An anonymous constituent called ESD and reported an issue with this property. There is constant construction/farm equipment being moved around in a way that has become troublesome as it seems a business is being run out of the property. The zoning for the land is PUD. Also, there is parking on unimproved surfaces and oil leakages. Thank you for looking into this.
i live in the barclay square apartment complex. Every day when I pull out of my apartment complex cars speed past along S Walnut Street Pike. This is a residential area with children waiting outside for their buses, as well as some folks walking their dogs. I believe that if there was a stop sign along S Walnut Street Pike it would minimize the risks of motor vehicle accidents or putting pedestrians in danger.
I would like to inquire about requesting a stop sign put up along s walnut street pike where it intersects with E Allendale Dr. I have been a resident at the barclay square apartments for going on three years now. Cars tend to speed down walnut street pike past my apartment complex. This makes it difficult for me and those on allendale to pull out onto the road. I have not witnessed any accidents so that is not a concern, just streamlining the traffic in that area and resident safety due to speeding.
Hello, we live in Sherwood Oaks and there is not a safe way to get to the biking trail starting on Rhorer at Walnut Street Pike. People are often walking or biking up the last two blocks of Walnut Street Pike to reach that connection. It's not safe. We'd be so grateful if the sidewalk could be completed on the East Side of Walnut Street Pike between Rhorer and Heather Drive. This would allow people to access Kroger and the Rail Trail more safely. Other wishlist items are paving the rail-trail that connects the B-Line and Clear Creek Trail,and extending sidewalks along Rhorer all the way from Walnut Street Pike to Sare (or at least to Benson). It would also be nice if the sidewalk along the East Side of Walnut Street Pike extended all the way from Rhorer to Winslow, but finishing a sidewalk on the E or W side of Walnut Street Pike between E. Heather and Rhorer is really essential to pedestrian and biker safety. We love all of the investments we're seeing Bloomington making in parks, recreation and infrastructure. We really value this as a family with young children. We're just surprised how patchy the sidewalks surrounding our neighborhood are, with some suddenly stopping (Walnut Street Pike + Rhorer) and others reworked only to a certain point (example biking from Winslow Plaza east to Highland or Allendale is challenging). This makes it difficult to access all of the new paved biking/walking trails that connect to the Rail Trail and B-Line. Bike lanes on both sides of the road are covered with rocks, sand, debris. I am a full time bike computer and use this to travel from Walnut Street Pike to Rogers on a daily basis. Both sides of Rhorer and Gordon Pike need swept from Walnut Street Pike down to Rogers Road.
Sidewalk has a layer of mud and gravel from improper drainage/run off, opposite driveway for 3218 e Moores
The contractors for the housing development by Bloomingfoods East are constantly using the Bfoods parking lot for staging, contractor parking, and using the access street for the same purpose. They are blocking traffic, and creating dangerous access conditions. Is this part of their traffic plan? If so, somebody in Planning needs to look closer at these plans.
Dangerous biking behaviors on walking/biking trail between Olcott Park and Sherwood Oaks Park. Can signs be placed to instruct cyclists to 1. slow down for pedestrians 2. signal by bell or voice if passing from behind 3. be prepared to stop should it be necessary. A woman and her daughter came down the path at a high speed, did not announce their presence, and almost ran over our 5 year old granddaughter. Education concerning bicycling etiquette might help. We live on Southern Oaks Drive (between Sare Road and Oakmount Drive). Drivers frequently use our street as a "cut through." We have many children in our neighborhood and, this afternoon, a five year old boy riding his bicycle was almost hit by a driver speeding through this area. The driver did not even slow down, rather, they swerved to go around him. He swerved the same direction and they almost hit him. Our request is for speed bumps or some sort of traffic calming device to be place on South Southern Oaks Drive before a child is seriously hurt or even killed. This situation will only worsen as more apartments, and businesses are built on Sare Road.
Overgrowth on sidewalks all around property. Very hard to maneuver
