I received a call from a resident stating that there are encampments in the woods between AMC Theater and Moore's Pike. Not only is there trash and used needles scattered about, but this morning someone lit the site on fire. There is a smoldering mattress and plastics burning at the site. Person repeatedly feeding bread-like food to ducks on Moss Creek ponds, despite prohibiting signage and dissuasion by residents. The governing board can think of no recourse but to threaten him with trespassing in the common areas. But he could continue feeding the ducks from the adjacent city street to avoid trespassing. Is there some unit of the City or County government that could help us deal with this. The ducks are beloved here, and the consequences for them of this type of feeding are so dire, many residents are distressed.
