Two trash bins and a recycle were in front of my house blocking the sidewalk this morning (Wednesday). The bins are not mine. I moved them in front of 717 S. Park because I'm guessing that they belong there, but I'm not sure. The residents left town Sunday, our pickup day was Monday.
Trash and recycling containers are constantly being left on side of Rogers Street (and on sidewalk) days after collection.
The occupants of this house stand in the doorway smoking cigarettes and when they are done they throw them into the street. I have seen this many times and they take no caution about any pedestrians who are walking on a sidewalk right into the path of a flying lit cigarette. I do not feel comfortable approaching these people. Thank you for checking on this ongoing littering problem.
This time I have included a photo. This is how the sidewalk and gutter has been since I moved here a year ago. Disgusting. Note the cigarettes on the sidewalk as those are the ones thrown from the door with complete disregard for people walking in the public right of way. Previous Ureport is #175706. Trash bins sitting on sidewalk
Recycling bin sitting on sidewalk - NW corner of property on Lincoln.
Trash bins on sidewalk. Tenants have been asked to remove them already, but they dismissively laughed and walked away.
There is a campsite set up on W 3RD Street behind the convention center. in the photo you can see the tent with the convention center behind it. Across the street someone is camping in the doorway of the old Fox Motorcycles door way. There is trash strewn along the sidewalk. This makes it feel unsafe to walk on either side of Third Street between College and Madison. Because of the underpass the space feels constricted adding to the feeling of unease.
There has been a trash bin on the sidewalk on the east side of Grant Street for several days which does not belong to anyone on the east side of the street.
