The owners of this residence are continuing to let this building fall into disrepair and are possibly pursuing a "demolition through neglect". There has been substantial improvement to this structure since I moved within view of this building in March of 2013. This has led to the building becoming a public safety hazard for both the Near Westside and Prospect Hill neighborhoods.
I’ve noticed non native plant species on this City parcel and would like to know since we have been working on similar plant removal and treatment along the B Line who might be be ones to inquire of addressing the bush honeysuckle, wintercreeper et al on this triangler parcel just a few parcels from the back parking of Opportunity House. Trash from dumpster and donations left are littered throughout property and along Diamond Ave., W. Cottage Grove, Morevac Way and B-Line trail. The dumpster needs to be removed, contained or relocated. If the sources of litter are better managed the city wouldn’t appear so trashy. Homeowners and businesses need to be held accountable for the trash in our city generated from their properties. We should strive to do better. Maybe the next administration will take charge and help us get back to the beautiful Bloomington we used to have.
When uReport case #184684 was submitted, the interface assigned it to the wrong address when the map was clicked on. The tree of issue is on the east side of Dunn, right by the parking lot for 502 E. 12th Street and standing on the NW corner of the lot for 820 N. Dunn. There is poison ivy on the north side of the tree, with many other invasive plants growing all around the base of it.
Construction going on in back yard. No permit posted in an obvious place. Large excavation done against foundation. No supports in place and pit is dark at night. Drunks could fall in at night.
The residents leave their trashcan on the road for weeks at a time. This has been an ongoing issue for much of the year with their can rarely being stored correctly. Oftentimes, the trashcan lid is open and full of rainwater. In addition, the trashcan often blocks the road or the alleyway. Thank you.
