Potholes, Other Street Repair

On N. Oolitic near 11th St there is a deep cut in the road where I assume utility work was done but the cut is dangerous as it will destroy a car. There is no sign to alert a car that it is there, and it needs to be filled in or a metal sheet needs to be placed over it until the complete repair can be done. I thought my tires were going to blow out yesterday when I drove over it and I drove very slowly over it because I was aware already that it was there. Please stop ignoring the road conditions around here (Lindbergh and Oolitic between 11th and 17th) and please fix them asap.

Blocked Street

810 W 7th ST

The North/South alley between 810 W. 7th and 804 W. 7th is being encroached upon by gardens, woodpiles, trees/vegetation and possibly the fence and cinder block garage owned by 810 W 7th St. As a result, the alley traffic is being diverted outside of the alley right of way and onto the private property located at 804 W. 7th. This appears to have been going on for a number of years. As the new owner of 804 W. 7th St., it is my full intention to re-claim the property/property line currently being encroached upon and proceed with renovations. I request that the Street Dept contact the owner of 810 W. 7th and order the encroachments be removed. With the assistance of a surveyor, I have located the NW and SW corner pins delineating the right of way and pounded new T posts just outside of the right of way in those spots and plan to post the entire property line once the encroachments are removed. Were I to reclaim the property line today, the alley would become impassible due to said encroachments. I request your assistance in remedying this situation in a civil and legal manner, as requests to the homeowner of 810 W.7th have fallen upon deaf ears. I request that you keep me in the loop regarding this issue. I would be happy to meet with a representative of the street dept, with survey in hand, to assist in clarifying and remedying this issue, as renovations of 804 W. 7th will begin in a few weeks. Temporary Signage w/o permit

813 W Kirkwood AVE

There is a sign advertising an AirBnB rental attached to a tree on the property at 813 Kirkwood Ave. The tree is one of two on either side of the alley next to the property, and is located on the berm between the street and the sidewalk, and so appears to be in the city's Right of Way. As far as I understand it, this signage is in violation of the Bloomington Municipal Code, Title 12 (Streets, Sidewalks, and Storm Drains), Chapter 24.080 (Trees and Flora), Ord. 08-06 ยง 2 (part), 2008) - Prohibited actions, which states "(2) No person shall do any of the following to trees subject to these provisions: (b) Attach any wires, nails, chains, cables, advertising posters or any other contrivance" I would appreciate it if the city removed this sign and prevented such actions by the landlord in the future.

Y'all ever going to clean up the overgrowth and trash all over this sidewalk? Can't barely see, and since there's a homeless camp right next to it which you all won't bother to clean up either, it's become dangerous to even use this sidewalk.

Traffic Suggestions

819 N Forrest AVE

The intersection of 11 and Forrest currently is a three way stop. I would prefer if this was a 4 way stop. I frequently travel between the buildings on the NE and the SW corners. It would also be helpful to have stop-lines/cross walk lines once construction is finished in the SE block.

Utilities Construction

819 N Jackson ST

This vault installation is not working. Location: ROW of N Jackson St, just south of the SW corner of N Jackson and W 13th. Vault installer (per plaque on the vault): Hoosier Fiber Networks. First, the pea gravel is not a great choice for fill in the ROW. I am pretty sure this is supposed to be a vegetated tree plot. Second, the fill is eroding away, leaving deep holes in the ROW. Please make Hoosier Fiber Networks fix it. Thank you!
